I've been running a full Silver RS set-up (minus the sub) for two years now. Pair of RS6s in the front with an RSLCR in the center, and a pair of RS FXs as rear/sides. Paired everything up with a Marantz SR7001 (letting me bi-wire the RS6s).

OH no, I think she is just prepping me for the future, besides I have to remodel the front bathroom and carpet the house before I buy speakers(again), and she knows that..... or I am dead!

Nice to see an MA thread here.. i have the Radius HD range - 225HD for centre, r180 for left/right and r90HD for surrounds with RSw12 sub.. all in glossy black.. The finish on the speakers is lovely and they sound fab as well. Very neat line of speakers for anyone who needs something with high wife acceptance factor.. will try and post some pictures over the next few days.. but it doesnt look nearly as impressive as some of the pictures in the first post

you know, I showed her the Monitor 7/9s and she was like... oh, those are cool... I like the others better. so I asked if she would want to listen to those too and she was like, whatever you want to do... I think the MAs have more WAF with her.... oh well, wont be moving on anything for a while anyways.

I don't know if any of you have seen this, but it appears that there is some new options on the RS series, there is an RS5, and 2 setups(RS6 AV & RS1 AV) that I am sure weren't there 2 weeks ago.

Hi Guys,

I'm about to upgrade to the Monitor Radius 270HD range (would love Silver or even Gold but reality says otherwise )

I can get the range 2 x 270 fronts, 1 x 250 centre and 2 x 90 surrounds with either the Radius 360HD or Radius 370HD woofer.

I know the 370 is no doubt better but we're talking quite a difference in price. £950 versus £1099, breaking that pyschological barrier. Is the 370HD worth extra cash over the 360?

i have the MA radius - 225HD for front/left/centre with r90s for surrounds.. with the RSW12 sub... the sub is expensive.. but makes the system in my eyes.. the speakers sound brilliant and also look quite good.. Monitor Audio retail prices seem to be quite high.. but i was able to get the RSW12 for about 500 euro.. about 435 pounds...

Hmmm I hadn't considered the RSW12. Your words are swaying me, reviews are very, very good...crap it's pushing me even higher I'll have to justify somehow.

Edit: Mick, would you be able to point me in the direction you got the woofer for that price? I understand if not but I have to ask .

I'm based in Waterford Mick, Richersounds have offered the woofer for €500 so I've taken them up on the offer, Wasn't aware of Munstersounds but i'm happy with the price esecially as they are offering it at €899 on their site!

You're absolutely right about wanting more. I started out looking at Kefs 2005 and now i'm on Monitor Audio. It seems you always have to stretch that little further than you want to get what you really want.

Really excited about getting the Monitor Audios though.
