Kojima can be hit or miss for me, but I will always give anything he makes a try. This is a long ways away, though. He says they will not even start working on it till after Death Stranding 2 releases in 2025, so there is a good chance this won’t even release on PS5. May be a PS6 title.

Nope. It’s still in conceptual phase. Probably looking at a 2028 release, at the earliest.

Since Kojima left Konami, his production schedule seems to be much faster these years, already having released Death Stranding years ago where as in the past, it would still be in development under Konami. Good to see he's setting deadlines and keeping them more strict these days. I don't know if he had really firm deadlines for MGSV until something happened and Konami insisted on one. I don't know the full story there.

This game hasn't started pre production, but it sounds interesting, but at the same time, slightly concerning if it's going to be even "more like a movie and game merging" than Death Stranding already was. A bit too much story for what I'm looking for in a video game, as nicely done as it was.

I'd like to see Kojima make a movie film one of these days. He's in his 60s now.

Whilst i think it will be interesting to see what he cooks up, i just don't see this coming out anytime soon either. 3+ years and as others mentioned, likely to end up as a PS5/6 cross gen title.

Plus a new movie called Death Stranding TBD. I thought Death Stranding already was a movie, but with some gameplay segments.
