No, it's most likely the same disc. In any case, I doubt that anyone will endure the descriptive audio track just to get those three missing lines...

Still, at least it's nice to know it's embedded in there in some fashion. Still ridiculous but at least it's an option. I live in an apartment anyways so I can't exactly crank my sound through the roof anyhow. I'm more concerned with my audio sounding faithful and accurate as opposed to loud and thunderous since I can't fully take advantage of Atmos tracks anyways. I only have a 5.1 setup even though my receiver can do Atmos. Atmos would ensure I get a note slipped under my door.

it doesn't stop when you own a home...or maybe that just means I reallllly need to turn my setup down. LOL

There’s a difference though between the secondary audio track (Dolby Digital) which is embedded in the UK Atmos track (not sure if the embedded Dolby Digital track in the US Atmos track contains the missing lines or not) and the “descriptive audio track” which was referenced above. The descriptive audio track is for those with little or no eyesight that need a voice that explains what happens in the scene.

As for your neighbors, Atmos isn’t necessarily louder than 5.1 audio. The higher resolution Atmos track should (at least in theory) be clearer than the compressed fallback track so you could probably play that at lower volume. But that’s a different discussion.

The first track on the soundtrack album has a kind of "fanfare" played on the uilleann pipes before the actual main title as heard in the film, and its length would just about cover the total length of all three logos. And on the expanded soundtrack release from La La Land, the cue is explicitly called "Logos."

I guess at the time they felt that was too long of an intro, which is funny considering how many logos often play at the top of films these days.

I cut a video together a long time ago using the 1997/98-era Paramount logo (from Star Trek: Insurrection), the 96 Fox logo (from Independence Day) and a Lightstorm logo I pulled from a YouTube video (I think it was from Strange Days or something)

I muted the logo music and just had the Horner "Logos" cue play and it was a bit odd. I could squint my eyes and picture it working to a degree, but it was better to leave it silent and not use three logos for the film's open.

My dumb self waited 2 months to finally watch this only to discover that the sound kept cutting out throughout the movie. It must have happened over a dozen times and now it's too late to exchange it through Amazon.

Don't assume it's the disc until you have tried it in a second player.

Have you done a clean of the disc with a dry fiber cloth.
Residue that’s on new UHD discs which can’t been seen with a visual inspection can cause various issues one of which is audio dropouts.

Clean all of the disc from center to edge.
