It makes sense that this would be released on 4K UHD this year since it's the 25th anniversary of the first movie. I hope they release a box set of all four movies as well. Heck I would love to see all the direct to video movies like Band Camp and The Naked Mile get a 4K UHD release too even though that probably won't happen.

So am I, if only because it always seemed like a reliable seller, but then it's been 8 years of UHD thus far and not a peep from Universal re: 4K Pies. I dunno if they were waiting on yet another sequel reboot thingy to tie it in to or what, but as it's been this long I guess they thought they might as well license it out. If it does well then they might 'take over' and release the rest, or maybe 88 have got them all? Eeeeeeeeeek!

All of the direct to video fare was shot on digital. They wouldn’t benefit from much whereas they can go back to the OCN for the first three.

Not only did Universal license this out, but in the Amazon description it says that 88 did the scan and restoration themselves. Pretty shocking Universal couldn’t be bothered to do anything for this movie.

I rewatched it Sunday night just gone with 20 bottles of beer and I had a blast.
