Yes, agreed.
It's real btw.

I remember the same nonsense for the Tom & Jerry collection, if I remember correctly. Either that or another cartoon collection. And the 3rd volume was cancelled by these crazy people.

I mean in Tom & Jerry there is a black housekeeper. A housekeeper. Not a slave. A housekeeper. That's a job. In all sorts of media there are white butlers, which is basically the same as a housekeeper. Is a butler a slave now? It's a respected job. How is that actually a problem, omg.

But yes, better than censorship.

The stupid thing about Tom and Jerry's censorship and the Volume 2 collection on BD being cancelled years ago due to "offensive" scenes is that barely any kids are watching the series. TV is dead. Almost all the Tom and Jerry viewers now have to be adults. Kids are watching flashy, clean digital animations, not Blu-rays of "decrepit" old toons shot on grainy film. Even if millions of kids were still watching it, they shouldn't censor it, but that they're likely not watching it anymore makes it so much more pointless.

I would much rather have that warning than them removing or changing stuff. It's not that big of a deal.

Even that's not really important.
I mean really what's the problem?
Kids these days play GTA 5,where you can do all sorts of crazy violent crap to civilians, but that's not a problem? A mouse and a cat are? Cartoon violence, what?

Anyone who finds it offensive can simply not buy it or watch it. I find Star Wars Episode 8+9 offensive, so what?

And what I never understood is that some for example so called black face is bad, and I don't even remember the specifics. Let's say Tom is cleaning a chimney and gets black stuff on his face. That's already a joke. If anyone puts a racial component into that, that's their interpretation, but unless there is actually race involved and in a bad way, it's just an assumption or opinion.

In Europe there is no black face history, but children still laugh. Why? Because it's funny because Tom or Jerry have shit on the face and/or on the body. They ****ed up and are dirty. That's funny. Children are normally not racist at all, but laugh. Why? BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY. Replace the color with let's say blue or green and it would be also funny, because they got dirty. Would it be racist black face, then that would not actually be funny at all.

For example their housekeeper was in my memory definitely competent and threw Tom out and took care of things. Why is that racist? Because she was portrayed as someone overweight? What's racist or offensive about that? Tons of different people are overweight, and don't they push for so called body positivity?

It's like them censoring Pippi Longstocking, and making some parts of these stories racist, although they never were meant to be and aren't. It's a racist interpretation of the material.

Anyway, when it's done intentionally in Tropic Thunder, all of a sudden it's okay and not even a disclaimer is needed there. Makes no sense to me, really.

But here the problem is what exactly?
Italian mafia portrayal?
Cannibals portrayal?
Monk portrayal? (those are actually friendly unless you attack them)
RX-Tech employees?
Baboons?
Scuba divers?
Military police?
Phew the prisoners in TR3 seem to be white or Mexican.

I guess it's the tribesmen in TR3? with poison darts?
But what's the problem there?
That there are native black people in Coastal Village of South Pacific region? That's like complaining about black people in RE5 being enemies, which plays literally in Africa, meanwhile no one cares about Europeans being the enemies in RE4.

Would it be fine if these tribesmen would have MP5s instead?
I personally find people bound to nature way cooler than other people, this includes Amish and such tribesmen. Is that now bad?

The OG graphics are 30 fps, but that's fine. I think it's even hard-locked to that frame rate internally.

Konami, hello? This is how you do it.
The only problem is no physical, but I'm sure LRG will at least do one.
The game play certainly shows the increased fps with its smoothness. The landscapes look great. Can't wait to see the T-Rex

I'm not that far into the game (I've reached Palace Midas) but I'm in love with the way this looks and feels. It's amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do. I'm already gagging for the remaining Core titles to receive similar treatment.

I briefly tried the modern controls and while they work a little better than I expected, I still find the "tank" controls more comfortable.

That's great to hear. This is only available as a digital download and you can't purchase each title individually, correct?

Digital only (for now) and yeah, the games are only available as a bundle. Great value for money, though, considering it's about £20 for the three games plus the expansion packs.

This has been kind of frustrating to play. The modern controls are fine in big open spaces, but jumping is finicky. Sometimes jumping just doesn't work. I'm pressing jump and she just falls to her death. Tried the tank controls and I just can't get used to that after 20+ years.

It took like 2 seconds for the word "woke" to spill out of his uneducated mouth. People really need to chill the eff out and just enjoy stuff.

Lol, how delusional can one be? He seriously believes these old games whose tank controls so many people complain about will outsell the one that will tick off all the AAA boxes and have the modern production values? Crystal Dynamics isn't afraid of these ports one bit. They put the message in there simply because they own the IP and don't want it to take away from the, uhm... ideology that infests their studio and image.

Same with me. I thought the tank controls were the modern controls for the first five minutes, as I was just so glad I could control Lara with the analogue stick (PS1 original was D-pad only). Great to have the modern controls but I just prefer the tank controls.

Graphics look great, everything is as I hoped. Apparently this was developed by a Tomb Raider fan who was unofficially working on it and then was discovered and hired by Square Enix. I love that - you know the person developing it understands what the fans want and has a love for the material. I'm looking forward to playing the add on levels for the first time.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary is one of my favourite game of all time so it was a surprise to return to the original and the differences. Like you, would love to see the other games in the series done. For some reason I stopped playing after TR2 as I felt the other games were like cookie cutter games and with annual releases a bit of a cash grab.

Maybe they can even fix Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness...
