A remake of 1 is tricky only cause of how claustrophobic it is. The other games, at the very least, go outside more. And the building they're set in they are bigger in size than the mansion.

I wouldn't oppose a remake of 1 though. Especially to see Chris in remake form finally.

I do hope we get CV, 0 and 5 soon. What they've done with the remakes has been wonderful and I really like the more serious look (and some tone) they've given the franchise. would be great to see the other games with that makeover.

No, I don't think it'd be an issue to remake 1 again today. They did it once. They can do it again.

Code Veronica is the one that I feel really needs to happen. 5 and 6, sure. But CV didn't get the exposure that it could due to the way it was released. Though it was popular still.

I don't think Capcom would care to do 0 again. I think they're looking at success that insured almost.

Never cared for 0 though. Didn't jive well w/ everything else they'd done in the story by that point either. They need to really fix the story and characters to make sense when it lines up w/ 1.

I can't believe there is no physical release for the GOLD. I have never played this game and was hoping that would be the way to go. I bought a disc version PS5 for a reason. I only own like 2 digital games and still buy physical. Will now just wait till a 19.99 type sale bummer.

If you want it enough, the UK has a physical version of RE4 Gold. Although, I can't speak to whether or not the DLC is on disc or on a voucher. Capcom has gotten pretty lazy with their gold editions and have just been putting vouchers in a case with the vanilla disc.

Village and 7 Gold editions were the original discs with codes, so this will most likely be the same as well

RE7 had all the DLC-on-disc (except Not a Hero, which was due to the release date), no codes.

Village was the first to use a code. All the previous RE releases (PS3 & PS4 Gold Editions), as well as most Capcom titles in general (MHW Iceborne, Street Fighter V Champion, etc) have done DLC-on-disc.

Yeah, they’ve been good in the last, so hopefully Village was a one-off and not the new norm.

Agreed, was really hoping they’d do reissues with all the dlcs included.

Even if they reissue and include them, they all will be codes. This is the new norm now with dlcs on ps5.

Asian release of the Gold Edition has DLC on code. Will presumably be the same for the UK version, very disappointing.

I was wondering if you unlock or get anything by getting an S++ rank on all of the characters from Mercenaries?

I only have one to go and it’s Leon for the Island level. Some reason I’m having difficulty completing it with him.

I managed to complete it this morning and you don’t unlock or get anything from getting S++ rank on all characters.

Played the demo again.

Lack of shoulder swap in modern games bothers the hell out of me. Have to move so far out of cover to see what's there.





Don't like the way it handles. So zoomed in when you aim. Wobbly. Position of your character feels floaty and imprecise.

Crappy, annoying (noisy) music.

Leon looks weird. Gaunt. Like he's sick. Or part Asian? Voice has half the charisma of the original.

Opening house too long.

Containers painted yellow because nothing stands out from all the detail.

I would say I'll wait for a bigger discount, but I don't even know. Don't really enjoy it.

Seems also like the text commentary is gone. I checked a few things out in the demo and the cam just focused but without any of the protagonist's mental commentary. You could say, graphics have come so far that you no longer need to write that (and I would disagree), but what about smell? It added atmosphere.

In case anyone is wondering. It's the same for the physical PS5 Gold Edition in Europe. You still have to download 'Not a Hero', everything else is on Disc. There was an update for it, roughly 400 MB in size, updating it to version 1.004 . So I'm wondering if the're just selling the PS4 Gold Edition repackaged. That would be very...Capcom.

5 was the last movement speed/style I really loved (Nothing wrong with FPV in 7,8 tho)
