Default Andor: The Complete First Season (4K Steelbook)

https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnarc...h=2f6ca2e56f22

Releasing April 30! Pre-orders begin March 12.

Quote:
Fan favorite Andor runs much longer than the other three series Disney is releasing: 546 minutes in total. So this time the package will include three 100GB 4K Blu-ray discs rather than two.

The presentation will be the same, though, with Dolby Atmos sound and HDR10 4K 2.39:1-ratio video.

The extra features this time will comprise five featurettes. The first features Tony Gilroy, Kathleen Kennedy and Diego Luna discussing the series’ origins. The second follows the show’s shoot in Scotland, with character spotlights, rebel training, stunts, a VFX breakdown and more.

The third explores the stories of ISB agent Dedra, Senator Mon Mothma and spymaster Luthen Rael, the fourth looks at the Empire’s penal system (including the prison’s stark look, background on Kino Loy and VFX breakdowns), and the last one covers Gilroy, Luna and various cast and crew exploring the making of the season finale.

It was arguably much better than those, so I'm not really too surprised by it.

Andor has a pending season 2, makes sense they would like to get some hype for it.

Id much rather have Book and Mando 3 myself.

Could not be more in. Only Star Wars thing I've liked in years, personally.

Day freaking one. Gonna be a hella expensive day, but worth it. Been meaning to rewatch Andor before season 2, and this'll be my perfect excuse

But Jesus Christ, Disney!

FOUR of these $50+ 4K steelbooks ALL releasing on the same day?!

You guys couldn't space these out just a little bit?

My poor wallet...

Mandalorian S1 & S2 is more popular than all of these shows and is still in print. You can probably space them out without fear of selling out.

You are probably correct.

Still, it seems like quite the aggressive release strategy on Disney's part.

Last year, they had spaced out Loki (September) and Wandavision (November). Then, Mando Seasons 1 and 2 both dropped on the same day in December and that was the most releases on the same day.

Now, they are dropping four (two Marvel and two Star Wars) steelbooks all on the same day. It's a bit much in my opinion. But I am happy these are getting a physical release. Don't get me wrong. haha

Since I bought the Blu Rays at Best Buy,I spent $195 with tax.

I wish these releases were spread out out more. It's going to be very expensive ordering these all together on top of the other pre-orders I've got going. Since there are four releases again. Maybe space them out over four quarters(Spring Summer,Fall,Winter) or two at a time(Spring & Summer).

I wonder if these are being released together due to the new Disney/Sony deal with physical media? That deal starts with The First Omen. Wonder if Disney wanted to get these out all at once since they may be the last physical media they produce directly before Sony takes over. These had to of been in production for a while before this release announcement.
