Gruv ships fine, and Walmart appears to be stepping up their game a bit with their steelbooks if their recent THE MARVELS exclusive is any indication (They put cardboard in to protect it).

Looks like it’s back up for preorder on Gruv.
However, it looks like they shut down the 15% off anniversary code, limiting it now to one use per customer like they did with the sign-up code. May have been why the temporarily took down the preorder, thought people were getting too good of a deal on it. |

Hey guys. Is there any benefit to ordering this through GRUV vs Walmart at this moment? I only read back a couple pages and didn’t see any. I’m not eligible for the 20% off code from gruv as I’m not a 1st time user.

but Walmart does seem to package steelbooks better than GRUV now, so if you don't want to worry about damage then order from Walmart, but warning you now that if it does get damaged from Walmart somehow and you try to ask for a replacement and it keeps coming damaged and you have to keep getting a replacement, reordering, or a refund. all of that will add up at some point and Walmart will ban you from ordering online without warning. Walmart isn't like Best Buy and these other retailers, they have banned customers just based off after 1 or 2 returns, it is kind of ridiculous. |

I decided to pre-order w/GRUV. The free shipping vs $6+ Walmart wanted was the deciding factor. Just keeping my fingers crossed it arrives undamaged. My previous two purchases w/GRUV of the Universal Monsters 4K’s both arrived undamaged, so let’s hope my good luck continues. Really excited to watch this on Sunday w/my two sons.

Has Wal-Mart changed how they charge for pre-orders? Since Best Buy got out of the steelbook game I've pre-ordered at least 6 titles and they have charged after they've shipped. Last night I pre-ordered Dune 2 and Red (1&2 collection) and they immediately charged my account. Now they also immediately reversed it after I cancelled but I was shocked. Anyone else have this happen?

I’ve also never had anything charged until after items have shipped from Walmart. Pre-auth charges show up, then drop off frequently. |

If you use a debit card, then most banks deduct pre-authorization amounts from your bank account balance. But those funds will come back once the pre-auth drops off. Long story short - it's always best to use a credit card for online purchases. |
