No matter what, it shouldn't be clicking for no reason in the middle of a movie. I would try swapping it out if it were me, just to be on the safe side. If you let it go it could develop into a worse problem. I'm not sure about the whole box issue, but I would think as long as you paid for the extended warranty and have your receipt/warranty paperwork it shouldn't be a problem.

It happens during movies? Are you watching movies on TV or on a BD/DVD? The clicking might be the result of switching DSP's (going from Dolby Digital to Stereo will make a click). This can happen a lot depending on your settings, especially when commercials come on. But if it's happening when watching a disc, then that's not normal.

i think what the OP means is when he goes from multich/dts ma/true hd to NON lossless format that the radio 'clicks'

make sure for your NON hd format that you use a PRO LOGIC II setting

switching from DD/DTS MA/TRUE HD/MULTICH to stereo = 'clicking noise'

switching from DD/DTS MA/TRUE HD/MULTICH to a pro logic mode = NO clicking noise.

I had the same problem which got progressively worse till I had to send it out to be fixed. Took 'em over two months to get a stupid part. I hope if you need it fixed it's faster for you. Good unit, terrible warranty service.
