Standalone releases of "Hell and High Water" and "House of Bamboo" will be released on December 7th...both titles limited to 1000 copies.

Is that usual, that releases that were part of a box set are then released but as LEs? Are the booklets the same as those in the box? I actually forgot what they look like in the box, I haven't played mine yet.

The Fox licence on them doesn't have long to run: they said they'd only release them separately if the Fuller at Fox boxed set sold out fast.

Damnit. Was too late to buying this set. Now the prices are insane... goddamnit.
Would buy them separately, but then you cant have the remastered version of "Forty Guns".

I received the standalone releases of "Hell and High Water" and "House of Bamboo" a few days ago. I'm 99% sure that the "mono" track on "House of Bamboo" is a fold-down of, at least, the TT 5.1 track instead of a legit vintage mix. The mono track has quite an amount of "phasing"-like effect and I compared the music & effects track (ironically in stereo) and it did not have such anomaly. Also, I folded-down the TT's 5.1 track to mono and it sounded virtually the same as Eureka's track in comparison. To my surprise, "Hell and High Water" is actually a legit stereo track and not a mono track the box set was advertising.

Finally picked this up for £75.00 off CeX. Luckily they'd not wrecked the box removing the usual sticker and I got all the residue off no problem. I've had to send back 2 items this year that they'd wrecked.

I did trade in 6 x Radiance LE titles which HMV had for £10.00 and CeX paid £12-£14.00 each so that helped quite a bit

Nice set.

I've sold 800+ Blus or 4Ks but only two I regret; Fuller at Fox and Eric Rohmer 10 film LE. I'll get round to reacquiring both sooner or later but still, it stings a bit.

Since then I made an effort to get hold of the best single issue releases that match the restorations in the Fuller at Fox set including the Criterion of Forty Guns and the two Eureka re-issues so at least I'm not down quality-wise for now. Anyhow nice CEX buy

I've learned my lesson to never sit on Eureka box sets too long, the Fuller one is superb.

Me too. I just reacquired it. Exact same deal, cex, £75. Good as new. Really good to have it back.
