Yes hopefully.
Sucks to hear that you went through that multiple times over.
It really shouldn’t be like this, it’s just so frustrating.

Disc Update:
While I wait for a response, I decided to play the disc to see if it would freeze up or crash.

End Result: the disc played flawlessly despite multiple scratches.

A Clean 4K Disc (Bride of Chucky) = Several Hiccups
Multiple Circular Scratches on Blu-Ray Disc (Darkman) = Flawless Playback

I just don’t understand these discs sometimes.

I would like some of the Dimension sequels, but at $30 a piece (unless they're double features) I think I can pass or enjoy them on the old Echo Bridge (yuck) discs. The Crow Salvation doesn't mention a new transfer anyway, so I have to wonder if it too will be one of those old filtered Miramax transfers.

Yeah, with no new bonus material and seemingly the same old transfer, this isn’t a $30 title. It’s worth maybe half that. For those unaware, the HD master for The Crow: Salvation is reportedly pretty poor.

Maybe they have plans for a general release of City of Angels? Seems odd they licence Salvation alone.
If they do release City of Angels hopefully it’s the never before released actual directors version of it before studio interference butchered it. The movie novelization has the original story as intended & it’s so much better than the theatrical story we did get.

I had several replaced that I bought elsewhere but they have now started asking for video evidence of the scratches causing playback issues so for the most part I have stopped buying Scream titles and downgraded them in my head and on my shelves as non-boutique. They need to fix this issue!

Glad these are both an easy pass for me. 'Spect for Treat Williams, Venomous is fun, but hell nah on $30.

I was all in on the Shout Exclusives, but these ones seem to be duds. I don't know if I can justify spending this amount on each release.

Just wait for them to be on sale. There's no threat of them selling out, and they're bound to be in some sale eventually.

I could see Crow Salvation selling out with the UHD of the first coming out and "hype" for the new one.

Any info if Shout actually owns the Carnosaur franchise? You’d think they’d put those out since they bought the Corman library. They are in desperate need of HD upgrades and the DVDs are long out of print. Any other fans of those movies? I personally prefer Carnosaur 2 and Carnosaur 3: Primal Species over the original. Fun dino horror flicks with great gore!

Not interested in either of the two new Shout! store exclusives announced today, but I'd already got some films and TV series they've released on physical media that I still want to get (off the top of my head, the only store exclusive they've announced that I decided to get was Sorority House Massacre).

I enjoy them more than some of the Jurassic Park movies! If they only had Stan Winston to do the SFX!

Me I've seen the first two and really want to see these films get Blu Ray releases. I also prefer the second film over the first one as I may like the first one and consider it quite decent the second is just way better. Scream Factory please give these Blu Ray releases immediately they've been needing Blu Rays for years so please release them.

If it does you'll have plenty of notice here when stock levels are getting low

My favorite site exclusive was Watchers 2. Communion would be close second.

I might have been tempted to purchase Venomous (2001) on Blu-ray if Scream Factory had decided to use this film's "painfully generic" DVD cover artwork instead...

...you know, just to feel some of those good ol' 2000s Hollywood Video horror aisle vibes yet again.
Could have exploited this faint sense of nostalgia in order to sell more copies at gouged prices.
Such a wasted opportunity.
However, it is still a killer snake movie directed by Fred Olen Ray so there's a chance I'll buy it eventually.

May end up grabbing these two, all depending.

Seeing the announcement of Salvation reminded me that I had been trying to watch this Crow sequel for a number of years. And since my appetite was whet, I decided to give it a free watch on Peacock (though I’m sure I’ve gotta have the DVD of it somewhere around here.)
I’m a fan of Eric Mabius and I think he’s a really underrated actor. I became aware of him when I watched Pricecheck which I checked out cause of Parker Posey. Though I had been seeing him in other movies for years like Welcome to the Dollhouse, etc, Pricecheck was the role that made me actually “notice” him.
I rather dig the Crow make-up on display in this version. It’s kinda like when the Jason Hockey mask would end up having its own personality in each installment.
And I really enjoyed seeing Virgin Suicides/Bring It On era Kirsten Dunst in a DTV film. Someone of her stature doesn’t pop up too much in films of these sorts so it lends the project this prestige element, which gives it that unique pairing of high and low art.
And of course cool to see an early Walton Goggins gettin his character actor on. This makes me think of when you’d see someone like Samuel L Jackson pop up in movies here and there early in his career like in True Romance, Goodfellas, or misc Spike Lee Joints. Obviously Goggins isn’t of the same star power of SLJ, but they do have the connection of starring in the Hateful Eight together.

I’m also always down for some Fred Olen Ray.

In prior discussions some have said the rights are somehow with Band and Full Moon. If true, they're slow as hell releasing catalog titles so who know if they'll ever get around to it. I'm still waiting on the likes of Arcade, the Oblivion films, and Shrieker. I don't think Shout owns 100% of the Corman catalog, and they continue to sit on stuff like Battletruck which they released on DVD.

I want that Crow exclusive but not at that price and they've gotten me for 3 recent orders between sales and Killer Klowns, I don't feel like giving them more $ just yet.
