What is everyone's thoughts on these newer BD cases where they kinda look like Vortex Eco-Lite cases except for the hubs, which are completely different, and very stiff to where you really have to press the discs onto them. I see them with some of the Warner Archive titles from last year. I've had discs crack in the past pressing them (even carefully) onto different stiffer hubs in the past. I don't think I want these cases at all - last thing I need is some title being OOP and the next time I put the disc back, it cracks at the hub.

I recently ordered some of what I thought would be the same Vortex cases I'd used in the past, and they came with this hub instead. Yeah, they're horrible.

Not a fan of those.

Not a new design. In fact it is a very old design. I have dozens of them left over in my empties box.

I might even prefer Viva eco cases to them. Maybe not when they arrive to me because the openings can lead to insert damage before they get to me, but once I have the discs I do not really mishandle them. These abominations…. Have to worry about a disc cracking every time I replace or remove the disc.

Discontinued from where? Goodwoodeshop/Megadiscstore still sells everything from single disc cases up to 10 disc cases from Viva Elite.

I guess I misunderstood the comments about the cases with those disc hubs they don't like to mean that Vivas were either discontinue or hard to come by now since people are dealing with those. My mistake.

With Casetopia gone, does anyone know where one can find replacement cases for older Masters of Cinema and Eureka titles with the embossed clear blu ray logo? Most of them are doubles (dvd/blu ray).

Edit: Wednesday 4/3 is your last chance before they all go to the dump.

148 single Vortex Eco-lite blu-ray cases
70 double Amaray blu-ray cases
All packed tightly in a single box
Dimensions: 20"L x 14"W x 14"H

Free

You only pay USPS
Sorry, this is all or nothing to one person. They are packed so well that it makes no sense to break it down any smaller, plus they are free, my time is not.

Don't be shy. Do not hesitate. Don't worry about the "other guy" who might want them. Be first, PM now!

No, I do not have anything else to sell, so don't ask.
No, I will not be making a thread
No, I will not be making another post ANYWHERE else, for any reason, for anybody.

PM only if you are the lucky person.

Does anyone have a black 3 disc, 4K Ultra HD case, I THINK, 14mm (I'm not good with a tape measure) that they don't need ? I just got the Abyss 4K but it's three discs and two of the discs are stacked on top of each other....which I don't like.

I checked all of my extras are double cases without the plastic molding to add the "flap"/middle disc holder.

The Abyss came in a standard 12.5mm Viva Elite case with the stackable hub.

I think I'm beginning to prefer the stackable discs cases over the others. Especially when it comes to shipping them. Never had a loose disc with the stackable cases. I just put the 4K on the right and stack the other 2 on the left -- since they won't get played as much.

My copy of Abyss wasn't in a 12.5mm case. I just measured it again and it's somewhere around 14 or 14.5mm....if I'm reading the tape measure correctly. It's the little marks on the top of the tape measure, right ?

I'm just the opposite. I want the 2 blu ray discs separate from each other and put the 4K disc somewhere as THAT won't get played at all...

Does anyone know where to find the kind of case I'm looking for ? I thought for sure the case was 14mm but everyone is saying it's not. Am I reading the tape measure incorrectly ? MM is the lines on the top of the tape measure, right ? My dad measured it, too, and he said was 14 or 14.5mm.

What are we missing ?

If you have the US Edition (can't speak for others) of The Abyss is should have come in a 12mm case as seen below.

Yeah, I have the american version. Since this is the case, I just need to find a 12.5 mm case that holds 3 discs, not stacked, that isn't 13 dollars for a single case.

Any ideas ?

You'll need to buy in bulk to get cheaper prices or check the first post in this thread and eBay. I need a 6 disc replacement case as mine is literally coming apart at the seams...you can only imagine how much they are.

Does anyone know if there’s anywhere that sells the clear Viva Elite cases that don’t have the logo on them? Goodwood had them for a while but switched to a stock that has the logo.
