That link lists the actors from the remake, and 1985 was Freddy's Revenge, so I'll patiently wait for more info.

True. The only thing about this being '1985' is Rooney Mara's birthdate.

If the 14 year old remake gets a release before the 40th Anv original, heads should roll.

Be one sick joke.

I rather the remake get a 4K release then a stand alone original.

I updated the title, seems like it is indeed the 2010 remake.

The fact that the much maligned remake is getting a UHD at all is a good sign IMO. Makes me think WB will be releasing the lot of them.

As with all 4K discs I expect this to look as I remember it looking in theatres. Therefore I expect there to be no sound for the first two minutes and the bottom half of the screen should be on the top half of the screen.

I actually liked the remake and would gladly pick it up, but I can't wait for the original movies.

Hahaha, that 35mm projectionist didn’t know how to line up a frame properly, eh?

A few months ago I got drunk and started watching the remake on some streaming thing that I had recently signed up for with a free trial. I passed out ~15 minutes into it and I did not remember until this very moment that I had even started watching it in the first place. Anyway I have nothing else to contribute to this tread. Or to society in general for that matter

This is a "Ten Best" quote on blu-ray.com for the first quarter of 2024. If it had mentioned actually vomiting ON the film, or specifically because of it, this would've been a Top-Three nominee.

Why are they putting the remake on 4K instead of the original?

Because WB thinks collectors are as clueless as they are. Robert Englund will probably be on the cover.

Considering that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the original "Nightmare on Elm Street", it is very odd that they're releasing the remake on 4K instead. Maybe they're planning to release both of them on 4K, but the original just doesn't have a store page yet?

I'm only agreeing to this, because it'd be bullshit if WB doesn't release the Nightmare movies as a whole set.
