Even in this thread since I made my post, there seems to be confusion and people providing answers that either a) aren't actually providing any evidence or b) might be confused about what movie we're even discussing. I already own Possessor. I would be interested in upgrading to Second Sight's edition, but would be less motivated to upgrade if the release actually represents a compromised version of the film. Not because "no boner, no sale", but just because I typically prefer the version that most clearly represents the director's vision when available. Boner's just icing on the cake. Anyway.. genuinely curious: Can somebody familiar with both cuts of the film—and who actually has the Second Sight 4K release on hand—confirm with certainty the Second Sight has the uncut or cut version? And if it is, indeed, uncut, does anybody know what would explain the apparently 4-minute discrepancy in run time between this and the previous UK uncut release? |
