I can definitely check the running time, to see if it's slowed down. I'm 99.999% sure it is.

I'm not 1000% sure how I'd check the video format though. I'll do my best.

My Panasonic player won't play discs that are PAL or 25fps, as far as I know, so that's usually a good test. Those discs have to be played in my cheap backup regionless player.
