Predator 4K UHD (1987) 6th August 2018

Finally decided to watch Predator in 4K tonight (bought it over a year ago).
Best I have ever seen it look.
However the sound gave me a bit of a jump at about the 1hr:07m:42s mark there was an almighty pop coming from the front speakers.
I was playing it with the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track.
I pressed rewind and played it again (with the volume reduced this time) and it was still there.

I replayed the same spot with the DTS-HD Master Audio 4.0 track selected and it was ok with that option.
Wish I had watched the whole film with the 4.0 instead as apparently according to a user reviewer here... it is better.

Does anyone here know if there is a confirmed fault with the disc?
The pop was pretty loud, worried about my speakers getting damaged because of things like this happening unexpected.

Hi, I'd like to know if the standard blu-ray disc of UK release of Predator UHD has the italian language. The 4K disc should have it, but I'm not sure about the standard disc. Unfortunately the back cover doesn't list the languages.

Hmm, i just checked the blu-ray in my UK 4K release and it does not have Italian audio.

The main 4K blu-ray does have Italian audio but not the included 1080p blu-ray.

My apologies for posting this in the wrong thread previously. I suggest we just delete that other thread and put this whole silly episode behind us!

So anyway, Predator on 4K seems to be NLA, or at least close to it. Anyone have any idea why this is?

Available new for both US and UK versions on the respective Amazons.

Has also been very cheap over the years as Disney regularly included in the 2 for £25 offers here.

Should have grabbed all the Fox discs you need by now on every format, Disney cares nothing for them. I think Mill Creek has a deal to keep certain things in print on Blu ray and DVD. Might be lucky to get the first Planet of the Apes film in 4k if ever.

I like the other explanation better, Sony is reissuing the 4K

Mill Creek might get Predator 2 though. If so, that's a good reason to grab the 4k Predator set, cuz P2 is probably not getting a reissue for a while

Mill Creek has nothing to do with Ultra HD, they have Blu ray and DVD deals only and you can find most of their Fox reissues already at Walmart.
