That is Pro Yakyu Spirits, looks a bit nicer than their PS4/Switch game (Powerful Pro Yakyu):

Graphically it looks great, no clue about gameplay obviously. The Show should be embarrassed looking like a upscaled PS3 game in 2024.

Pro yakyu spirits baseball from Konami has been around since the PS2 it looks like, so the chances it'll ever arrive in the US is unlikely, but probably importing would work.

The Show Baseball 2022 looks great on PS5, which I have on disc. This looks realistic, but they both look good IMO.

Strange that Konami never thought about localizing this baseball game of theirs. I like the cartoony visuals.

MLB looks ok but SDS needs to modernize and improve their mocap. It was impressive 5 years ago but by today's standards, a lot of the player's animations look stiff and robotic. Likewise, their character design needs an overhaul. We are still getting players with those weird, deadpan eyes. I feel like SDS has gotten lazy with this game ever since it went multiplat! I havent seen a huge difference with the Show's graphical presentation in years. Not since the 2nd or 3rd iteration on PS4 really.

I'd LOVE to see what The Show could look like running on the Decima engine!

The motion capture does make a major difference, that's true.

Have you been able to play other PS5 sports games? I haven't kept up with sports games till the PS5, and I'm honestly very impressed because of the camera angles and broadcast 4K CPU vs CPU games with full announcer game analysts commentary that it's almost like watching a real game unfold on TV for:

I need to run those games on PS5 but had to uninstall them due to the giant size of each game competing with my PS5's install space under 1 GB....

I don't really play sports games anymore. The Show was the last bastion of sports titles I still played up until about 4 years ago. HOWEVER! I will be there day one this summer for NCAA College Football!
