If it is Warner then hope they release Species 1 and 2.
Shout already did 4k versions so they can just re use those remasters.

The Species series is MGM, and 88 Films already released them all on Blu-ray:

I don't think Honkytonk Man and White hunter have been released in HD anywhere, have they? Also, I think there might have been a French BD of Bird? Not sure..

I understand these are not the most popular Eastwood films, but are among my favourites.. Anyone think we might finally get these in HD?

First Strike definitely: only ever seen the truncated version, 23 minutes cut out!

Given the perfect opportunity with Elm Street's anniversary,
I can confidently place my entire reputation on that's release on Arrow.

Sorry to veer off topic, but didn't know about Point Break not being WB in the US. Do you think a UK 4k is likely or it is best like Face/Off and Starship Troopers just to import the US disc?

Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid is censored in the UK for animal cruelty so no chance of an uncut release here.

If I pre-order a release on the Arrow website, does the money come out my account straight away or not until the title is dispatched, thanks.

Depends on how you pay. PayPal is straight away. Debit/credit card is usually a few days before release/shipping.

Not anymore. Even with Paypal they charge only when the order has entered the shipping process.

Nice. I didn't know. It seems to still take payment from me when I order.

It only shows an authorization on my Paypal Account, but the actual charge only happens about a week before the order ships.

This actually used to give me issues with my previous credit card connected to my Paypal account because I always go the "There's an issue with your payment" email when they charged it on release. Doesn't happen with my current credit card but in an ironic turn of events I can't use this one directly with Arrow and have to use it via Paypal.

I pre-ordered Aliens 4k on hmv a few days ago, and the payment went straight out,
have never seen any different to that, yet at least.

I've not read anything on Aliens 4k. Is it scrubbed and scrubbed in the manner we're used to from Cameron?

The arguments are all over the place on it,
seen a few reviews where they say it's a bit OTT, but it's still a huge improvement on previous releases.

Just want to post a bit of a disagreement with the above poster. From what I've read and seen about the disc, it's an absolute disaster. No new scan, resulting in essentially 2K detail, completely DNRd to hell, AI fake "detail" added, plus I've seen some technical arguments that the disc is "fake Dolby Vision". From my understanding, although it is "flagged" as DV (so it will show as such on your tele) the actual picture doesn't utilise any of the features of DV (or even HDR in general). There are no colours outside the colour space of a normal Blu-ray.

Please pretty please with sugar on top don't take this discussion to this thread and keep it far, far away.....

trobrianders, check the Aliens UHD thread, but be warned: you might be sorry.
