I`ve got this edition. It`s already out here in Bulgaria. English TrueHD is not very impressive. Bitrate - only 1,3 mbps.

Do the Japanese spoken parts have English subtitles?

Yes, they have. But you need to turn them on - other way, subtitles would not appear...

If you turn the English subtitles on do they only appear when Japanese is spoken or do the English subtitles show all the time even when English is being spoken?

The subtitle option should work like all movies, selecting on will display all dialogue with subtitles not selective portions.

It's still better than a 640kbps Dolby Digital track. Although there is quite a bit of dialogue in this movie, I imagine a TrueHD track should really improve the music score, clarity of discrete sounds to minor atmospheric effects and of course, the combat sequences.

I would disagree with this statement. My speakers are very average and I can tell a difference between lossless and lossy sound at a moderate level. Is the difference dramatic on my setup, no... but the clarity and the way the sound field envelops is improved and I stress that loudness is not necessarily what makes audio, it's the clarity. Plus, no way would I ever choose a 720p display over a 1080p at this point

So, it's all or nothing? That's kind of a bummer.
