I often compare Melville to Michael Mann (my two favorite directors), and Le Deuxieme Souffle is Melville's HEAT. This is one of my last DVDs that I own. Been waiting on Criterion forever. I know this probably won't have English subs. With Criterion readying Le Samourai on 4k, I doubt they will get two Melville films out so close together. So, I'm happy a restoration is coming, but its frustrating to know I won't be able to have an English friendly version of it, at least anytime soon.
