use a microfiber cloth dampened with water...if that doesnt get out fingerprints, you've gone some intense fingers!

side note: movers packed my tv up with bubble wrap and now there are permanent bubble wrap marks on the outer bezel trim of the tv...i've tried using water and glass cleaner (without ammonia) along with micro fiber cloths...nothing seems to work....anyone have any suggestions?

this goes for fingerprints too.
get a roll of the clear scotch tape(not the shiney back kind because their adhesive tends to leave residue behind). get the scotch tape that has the clear matte looking backing on it. pull multiple strips off say 3-4inches long. push the center of the tape ONLY on each individual finger print, and use the ends of the tape to pull it off, and keep repeating the process. after a couple of times the tapes stickyness will dull down and you'll have to use a new piece. once you get the prints or wrap marks lightened up put a dab of vaseline on the microfiber cloth (dont use any water at all) and rub in a small tight circle gradually circling in a bigger circumference each round while lightening up on the pressure you apply to screen as you go outward. I finalized my screen strokes by putting my hand inside a 100% cotton high thread count pillow case. i just did this when I moved, and the movers grabbed my plasma which had whole palm prints on the screen so you can imagine how much time it took me, but it worked!

If you can't get it off, I wonder could it be permanent? I mean if the finger that touched it had a corrosive material on it like some kind of chemical, it could eat thru the protective layer and leave a permanent finger print. Kind of like using something with amonia on it and taking the anti glare off.

LCD cleaner F'ed up my previous TV so whatever you end up using, be careful. I find that depending on the make and model, the screens can be made of different material that can react differently to various agents.

I used warm water and a microfiber towel with the TV off on my Elite and it worked great.

I use iCLEAN LCD screen cleaner and a piece of well-worn flannel bedsheet.
It is alcohol & amonia free, and will remove dust, smudges and fingerprints, and provides anti-static protection.
For information call:716-565-4818.

Go all ninja on the movers?

I wouldn't think bubble wrap marks would be so hard to get off.
