Not sure how to advise you bro... yesterday morning I would have simply told you to sit back and enjoy having your own personal troll... thinking that would be hilarious..

.. but the NETFLIX show has me all shook up today... I'm sure whichever mod the guy was reported to has the ability to eliminate all trace of the guy on the site...

Jeez, where do you find such "fans" ?

Is it because of your discussions in the True Lies 4K thread ?

I've seen you quite active in that one with some heated discussions.

Not sure, there has been a regular sock frequenting several threads over the last five years or so now, including the Vinegar Syndrome thread, but it’s hard to say for certain which one it is.
There are so many sock accounts now, it seems they are getting banned every single week across several threads.
I think it’s just people desperate for attention, no well balanced adult would go to such lengths.

I've done some digging on this also just out of curiosity.

We have Amazon Prime, Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+ and Mubi
We don't have have Peacock, Shudder or HBO Max
The rights for HBO are with a single internet provider that has their own streaming service called Streamz.
I used to have a subscription for it but I cancelled because it just wasn't worth it.
20 € per month for 720p and 5.1 DD at best. For the most recent movies just out of the cinema you even had to pay extra.

For League football you need a subscription too. ( Jupiler Pro League, Premier League, Bundesliga, Seria, etc)
Champion's League, Euro, World Cup is on regular cable though.

Similar to us then. Warner/HBO is locked to a pay tv service here (Sky TV).
We are getting Tubi this year, which USA has had for several years. That’s a FAST service though, as is Pluto, which we also have.

Tubi is coming in the next few months so don’t know, Pluto, it’s mostly tv shows and much older films, but is about to merge with one of our major broadcasters (C5).

There are things on there. It beats trying to find something on youtube.

I haven't used Pluto for a while but some time ago I liked how there was a channel that always had (American) Football games at any time. Of course, they have Soccer also. They have channels dedicated to old TV shows so you can breeze though any of those.

On Tubi lately I find all kinds of stuff. It's not often when I want to just browse for something I've never heard of but when I do Tubi has a lot of things to try.

I wanted to revisit The Girl in a Swing (1988) which I saw in theaters long ago. It's likely difficult to find a DVD now but it's on Tubi.

It seems the content is more recent on your side of the pond, you get more modern films for example.

I added and to my film noir collection.

I paid OOP prices for volumes 1-5 , but that's the breaks when you don't keep up with those foreign releases.

I also had to buy a new smartphone yesterday as the touchscreen is shot on my current POS phone; it's non-responsive half the time and getting worse each day.

Expensive month.

I’m due a new phone but will probably buy a refurbished model. I just see them as necessities, but not that into them from a tech perspective. Thinking about the IPhone X which is a few years old now.

I subscribe to Disney+ and one thing I miss about the old days is that would mean if I open Disney+ I can watch everything on there.

Now, my D+ subscription is also an Ad for Hulu. I pay for the ability to see more things whey would like me to pay for. Nice.

Kids is the only reason I put up with such nonsense and my own kids are technically all adults now so hopefully soon I can dump stuff and let them get accounts of what interests them.

Iphone X? As in 10?

I also bought my sister her first cell phone ever and added her monthly service to my bill. I could never convince her to get one herself, so I just made it happen. She lives alone in a rural area and I feel better knowing that she has one. I use Android myself, but I got her an iPhone 15 Plus as she has an Apple tablet. I went with the Samsung S24+ for myself.

Like I said, expensive month.

Time to get ready for my trip. 2 of the next 3 days I am at the hospital. I hope that everyone has a better weekend than mine.

Think it means ten in this case, yeah. Just going for the bigger screen, you know me, I love to watch epics on my phone.

Thats a lovely thing to do by the way, family are so important, and like you say, it’s peace of mind.

Last weekend I was in the North East’s most haunted castle with younger sister and nephews. We stayed the night and did a 4 hour ghost vigil/hunt.
Managed to spend a few minutes alone in the chapel using various equipment to try to make contact, it was a unique experience, so in terms of weekends, that will take some topping, but every weekend that involves HT is a good one.

But expensive weekend also, but worth every penny.

Sending good thoughts your way, I'm hoping you are back and settled soon, enjoying your latest haul.
