Cool Resident Evil IX

We are gonna have some wait, though.

I wonder if Pragmata will actually release in 2026 (announced June 2020), or if it will turn into vaporware like Deep Down (announced September 2013).

Noice. Hopefully with Ethan’s story
[Show spoiler]more or less complete
, we can focus on the originals. Perfect opportunity to reunite Chris and Jill with Barry and Rebecca also making possible comebacks with the
[Show spoiler]rogue BSAA storyline
. If this game is to be the swan song for the OGs (they are getting up there in age at this point, Chris will be around 56 or so by IX), cap it off where it all started. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Rebecca’s in-game return for some time now.

I would say Chris, Jill, Leon and Claire (the 4 mains) so we can finally get Jill-Leon and Jill-Claire, but Deathly Island (which is canon to the games along with the rest of the animated films) kinda already filled that gap (or should I say gaps?).

I wasn't keen on RE8 at all. It incorporated too many fantasy elements, and felt like it was trying so hard to be like RE4. Even RE7 was better. Even if yes, it was copying a lot of scenes from various horror movies. At least it gave us the beginning of the "Blue Umbrella" (unofficial fan term) storyline...
