The Eureka UHD edition uses a single disc for both films. However, it is a 100gb disc and the encodes are flawless. The films look great. HDR is not overdone (a *good* thing). I get the feeling this will not be the case with the VS edition.

Sure, I would have loved separate discs, but these are short films, really, and it is also great to have the flexibility and convenience of accessing both from the same menu. Bigger is not always better. It's a great package overall, with wonderful extras. The commentaries are terrific.

Ah, so 1 film per UHD?

I must say I kinda hate simultaneous releases like this, with different extras on each. Makes me wonder if labels are cooperating to get people to double-dip (I know they aren't, but, ehhhhhh...).

Eureka will probably have more yellowness. If you compare it with other releases.

He's comparing the colour differences between the Eureka and VS release of Lady Reporter as an example of what the differences for China O'Brien may look like.

Are either of these films better than Game of Death? I only know this director from that and Enter the Dragon.

That's a low bench mark, but yes.

George from InvincibleAsia described them as 'feeling like an extended A-Team episode'. That is pretty much spot on. I've always thought this and if you grew up loving The A-Team (like I did) then you won't be disappointed.

The problem is that Robert Clouse got lucky with Enter - if Ed Wood had directed that, you just know he would have gotten all the big US martial arts gigs. It got worse when Clouse started writing them - pardon the expression (he was deaf) but he really had no ear for dialogue.

According to the Melon Farmers website China O'Brien 1 was cut by 3 seconds by the BBFC in 1989. I'm assuimg the Eureka UHD is uncut. Can anyone confirm.

On VHS a 3 second cut was made at the hour mark to remove the sight of a woman in a black bra tied to a bed covered in burns and bruises. If that shot is present, it's uncut.

Mine arrived today. Still don't like the slipcase artwork....but I'm just grateful to have these on disc; still can't quite believe it's on UHD too!
