Just finished Altess Levoire. Nice change of pace that didn't outstay its welcome. However, the narrative of that sequence really hammers home how many lore documents should not have been readily available before this level. A shame too, since the level design is quite nice from a narrative perspective.

Here's a nice look at all 75 outfits.

And as it turns out, three outfits were altered post launch (Holiday Bunny, Cyber Bondage, and to a minute extent, Blue Monsoon).

I recently seen a YouTube clip of Holiday Rabbit comparison. I thought it was just the chest being covered up. Nope. They also added layers to the bottom to cover up that leg cleavage.

Adam, although handsome (supposedly based on Sen Mitsuji), has a very "dead" face. In fact, I am convinced he is a robot (no spoilers, please). Would fit his oftentimes detached voice in English (to a lesser extent in Korean).

And yes, I like EVE a lot and am looking forward to Stellar Blade 2.
A good comparison would be the Horizon games. When you get to certain important narrative areas the pick ups in those areas begin filling in some background around what the main story is showing you but they don’t flat out spoil what has yet to be revealed.

Here's a nice screenshot I took of EVE wondering why her costumes were censored.

Wow. That would have been so much better, especially prior to Altess Levoire. That sequence should have been a real "whoa" moment rather than "is EVE not reading any of the info I've been collecting?"

EDIT: By the way, while doing the trick where EVE stares at the camera, I noticed she has a lot of nuanced and subtle facial animation while idle. It's actually quite mesmerizing.

Oh that’s funny! Cyber Magician was the third or fourth outfit I found. I only have like nine or so. I’ll collect more towards the end

Yes, I also thought it was just censoring some boob, but they censored that leg/butt cleavage too- which is odd because the developer said the butt was what he wanted to look at and enjoy while playing (or whatever his quote was)

"Censored" or no, the Holiday Bunny outfit showcases EVE's derrière just fine.

To sum up:
“Understandably we also recognize about this issue.”

“However the final costume we wanted to show you is indeed the costume in version 1.0.0.2.”

“I want to clarify that is our final product.”

“However I know this answer is not enough to convince our user.”

“There is an internal discussion ongoing regarding this so I think we'll have a chance to answer it soon.”

Oh, I'm aware. My point is that the finished versions of the three altered costumes are still very flattering. It's not like they made EVE frumpy. People should just play the game rather than worry about a few more inches of exposed digital skin (this isn't Dead or Alive Xtreme 3) or extra digital gore (nor is this Mortal Kombat).

If only they had made a fantastic game with strong combat mechanics, no bugs, very good performance and better image quality than what the major developers in the industry are putting out these days people would congratulate and praise their work and results instead of constantly going on about a few small pieces of digital cloth to the team.

Oh wait. They did do that.

Definitely

I believe them when they say “the patch is the version they intended”

I’m just a middle man posting my findings because the discussion in here got me curious. For the record, I only have eight costumes in my gameplay and I’m near the end. So I have no dog in this fight

But to play devils advocate, why did it first have more skin, then via the first patch puts extra clothing over the cleavage and upper thigh?

Makes for a good discussion

.

Okay. Gotcha.

It is an interesting subject, I agree, but I think we'll never get a straight answer. Or rather, we'll never get an answer everyone will agree is the absolute truth. I am inclined to believe Shift Up, because there are other outfits that emphasize what was toned down in in the Holiday Bunny and Cyber Bondage outfits. And I feel that the alterations to the Blue Monsoon outfit all but confirm it, given the alterations there were more in the vein of subtle refinements.

In the end, this isn't the first time a game had cut/altered content get patched out. And it is obvious they are still refining the game (via input lag improvements, NG+, and the rumoured upcoming Boss Rush mode). That being said, perhaps they are better off patching back in the three original outfits (bumping the current total to 78) and offering the extra gore as a settings option. Win-win.

Or people can seriously get over it and move on with their lives.

Ideally, yes. But it seems some folk won't let it go.

For those who have beaten the game, can we just respect
[Show spoiler]the absolute awesomeness with which Tachy was avenged? Cutting off the same arm Raven cut off first, then the other and then severing her exospine but not killing her.
So fantastic.

Great Desert seems like a decent step up in difficulty, but think I’ve adjusted after a bit there. Beat stalker again on second try and got the power on so I could use camps and then did some exploring and sidequests. It’s a but bland compared to the wasteland IMO.

I’ll agree with this. I didn’t enjoy Great Desert as much as the Wasteland. The verticality of the ruins section was a bit more convoluted to navigate.

Great Desert is probably my least favorite area of the game. Sometimes really confusing to find the right path and from a visual standpoint a bit bland. But there's still lots of fun stuff to do in it.
