I didn't get to pick up the RSM releases before they closed, so I'll easily be pre-ordering the 3-film bundle. Numbered spines are my weakness with collecting as well, so this is just another line I've got to keep up with, lol.

I noticed the original poster is banned. I'd be willing to take over the OP to keep it updated with the releases as they happen if nobody else has already volunteered.

I've pre-ordered all three as well despite owning the RSM editions, hopefully Turbine will do well enough with them to release more, I'll keep the first post up to date for the time being.

I've pre-ordered the set as well. I only managed to grab Dominion from RSM, so while that will be a double-dip, the two others will be new.

It looks like the set maxes out the shipping costs, at least to the US, so you can add another title for basically no additional shipping.

Glad to see Turbine 3D is getting off the ground. I've already got these and the sound was fine over my headphones. I'll be glad to pick up any new 3D releases though if they get any!

Whenever I order from Turbine I add as much as I can to take me to the £135 customs limit, I figure since I am paying for postage anyway I may as well max out the package. I paid 15.95 postage to the UK for five titles in total.

I think it very weird and wrong that they have started with previously released 3D titles from Random space instead of NEW unreleased 3D Blu-Rays. Its like they now have an excuse to not release more because they know 3D fans or most of them already bought These from Random Space. I hope i am wrong though because i really wanna see more unreleased 3D movies on 3D Blu-Rays coming. I am gonna buy Minions for sure since i didnt get that one yet.

I actually completely understand why they chose these 3 titles. They already have existing 3d video masters, they were released before in a very limited capacity, and they have been upgraded in the audio department, showing that Turbine is in a different league than RSM. I believe that, if not now, Turbine would not be bothering with these titles in the future. And the fact they have several audio and subtitle options and are region free, mean that they'll be able to reach a much wider audience than before.
I actually really like the 3 titles at a time and hope it carries forward.
I hope that the next batch includes a corrected Sing 2 edition and either one or two new titles to 3D. I still believe we'll see Dolittle in 3D from Turbine in a coming future, and I believe they'll balance releasing titles already available in 3D, by having newer titles in a combo discount pack. And them being released as a collection with spine numbers was very smart.

Most wanted from Turbine:

Bumblebee
No Time to Die
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
Super Mario Bros.
Venom 2

What else could we conceivably see released? Too bad there’s no way Dizznee would license anything to them.

I hope you are right. I would love these ones. It could certainly happen based on which studios the company is working with on these.

Here's hoping they can make a deal with Disney and WB.

I'm not even sure if Universal are bundled with Sony in Germany like they are in Australia, which was how we got Sony titles like No Way Home from RSM. I'm pretty sure Sony Germany are their own entity, so you will probably not be seeing any Sony 3D titles through Turbine sadly.

Top 5 most wanted from Turbine (yes, I know the realism in this can be severely questioned, but nevertheless)

1. Jaws 3D
2. Dawn of the dead 3D
3. They shall not grow old 3D
4. Mission Impossible Fallout 3D
5. 007 No time do die 3D

My 3D wishlist:
• Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie
• Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
• The Super Mario Bros. Movie

I've literally been wanting a 3D Blu-ray of Captain Underpants since 2017, I hope it gets released one day.

Other 3D examples from Universal are:
• Jaws (1975)
• Furious 7 (2015)
• Trolls (2016)
• The Fate of the Furious (2017)
• F9: The Fast Saga (2021)
• No Time to Die (2021, Amazon owns the rights to the film)
• Fast X (2023)
• Trolls Band Together (2023)
• Migration (2023)
• Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024)

I think Universal has still physical media rights for the Bond franchise.

It's kind of funny how Turbine is marketing these as some kind of premium/collector releases, but they can't be bothered to include the standard BD for the extras, especially with how much they're charging for these. It would cost them peanuts to throw that in as a bonus.

Someone asked the owner of Turbine over on a facebook group about this and he replied (and correctly in my opinion) that if you want the 2D disc they can be bought cheaply.
But I actually don't think you are seeing the cost of adding a 2D disc to this edition. As these new 3D discs have several european languages, the 2D discs would have to be mastered and authored to include the same languages. If you go and check the german editions in 2D of Dominion and Minions 2, they don't have spanish or italian. So Turbine would have to spend time and money authoring a new disc that already has a comparable edition out there. Not to mention the cost of manufacturing said discs and very possible the added cost of licensing the 2D version to be included. So no, this added cost you mention is not peanuts at all.
I must say that with the panorama regarding 3D releases, posts like yours complaining about a 3D edition, that pretty much looks to be perfect since it had 3d picture and 3d sound in the original language, simply because it does not include the 2D disc is disappointing.

Don't be ridiculous, there's no rule that all the languages on the 3D disc have to match those on the 2D. It's a German release so the only requirement is for it to have German on both discs.

Look at the first Minions for example, which on the German BD has audio in English, German, French, Turkish, Croatian, Dutch, Flemish, Hebrew and Icelandic. The 3D disc on the other hand omits Flemish and adds Belgian.

And yes, the manufacturing cost of BDs is cheap, certainly a hell of a lot cheaper than a 4K for example. And at 25€, which is only 2-3€ less expensive than one of their 4K releases (which do include the BD, might I add), they bloody well should have it.
