There are definitely scenes that imply it is a mental health issue.

For example, at the science fiction convention Mary talks about going to a clinic and thinks Dick may have also had mental health issues.

They were definitely aliens, and the last scene in the last episode pretty much proves that. Plus also the episodes with Shatner where I’m assuming we might see him beam up / down

But does anyone besides the Solomons ever see these alien properties?

I remember an episode where Dick was trapped in the basement and it could have been a metal health issue instead of something caused by him being an alien.

I believe the daughter of the landlord (who starting dating the Shatner character (aka The Big Giant Head)), was taken up by The Big Giant Head to his space pod for dates if I remember correctly. I’d probably have to rewatch to look for examples, would like to see a blu ray. Plus, I can’t recall for sure but I think there were examples for the aliens freezing people in place

Why hasn’t it been remastered in proper HD? It was filmed on 35mm and edited on tape, seems like it’s popular enough to have been remastered?

Me too. I’m glad Network included the 3D glasses so you can watch the 3D episode properly.

I’m really nostalgic for this show, my whole family used to enjoy watching this together.

Bizarre that it hasn’t been remastered yet, it was so popular during its time, it was almost ‘Friends’ level popularity, yet current streaming episodes are so pixilated, it was shot on 35mm so it would look amazing in proper 1080p HD.
