So far the specs are very disappointing:

Sprachen: Deutsch, Englisch
Tonformat: DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0/5.1
Untertitel: Deutsch

However, the picture above has the DVD logo on the spine while Plaion's listing is for a 2 Blu-ray edition so perhaps there may still be hope.

If you followed the DM2 release then you'll know that the specs on the website can mean nothing. That came with Cantonese and English audio options, as well as better English subtitles so I'm holding out hope.

Uncut version is terrific to hear. And I just love that a shark is seemingly being blasted into the sky in that cover.

Yeah, I've learned not to trust website specs, Plaion have to know that if they get this one right it will sell better than DM2.

The sharks were my least favorite part about the added footage in the HK cut. Just like in videogames I would hate "water levels" so when those diving sequences are even longer in the HK cut it's what made that cut a slog for me. I think I liked the added shark punch/kick scene though, can't remember what he did been years since I saw it.

Hope we get a decent release of this in the UK from one of the usual suspects. Saw it at the cinema when it originally came out, owned the VHS but not the DVD, so don’t think I’ve seen it since those old pre-DVD days.

I'm hoping there is English subs. This site shows everything but English subs included.

They really tried to play up the James Bond aspect of that poster, huh? Not even a sniper rifle just a dart gun he uses in one scene. Also makes you think the entire film is in snow locations. The best part about the Miramax English dub are some of the memes "Wow now I'm 007!" that I don't think are in the HK version.

I’m sure TheMole will get it and let us all know, just like they did with DM2

Their release of Accidental Spy (back when they were Koch Media) had both versions of the movie, the long version had english subs,unfortunately they were throughout the movie when switched on, so english subs for the large amount of english dialogue.

Strange how that set is still the best blu-ray version of that movie, I get that it isn't top tier Chan but it's arguably better than The Medallion so it's odd 88 Films haven't given it a UK release yet.

Amazon Germany state First Strike isn't available to ship to my location (UK), I wonder if that will change prior to release. Seems there are a fair few movies on Amazon Germany that won't ship to me for some reason or another?

Yeah Amazon.de are a pain these days. Probably become available around or just after release date.

That'll change when it hits release date. On release date and it shows in stock, you'll then be able to order it
