UK Blu arrived this morning. I suspect the source material is pretty poor and grainy. But PQ in my opinion....oh dear.

I bought the US Warner disc a few weeks back and thought the PQ was pretty decent. It's obviously not going to be reference quality, but I've seen a lot worse.

To be fair it is probably the best its looked but it is pretty grainy and soft but again thats probably the source. I bought it because it is a favourite of mine

Hi

Does anyone know if it is the same transfer as the US one?
Do I just need to look if it is the same studio or how can I tell?

Icon has acquired the physical media rights. So could this perhaps mean an upcoming 4K release?

Excellent movie... fairly hideous cover! But it's the movie that counts.

Woah now! This is the BD section don’t you know! Heaven forbid you discuss a UHD product in the Blu-ray section!

Wish that silly banner announcing over 45mins of extras wasn't there, same kind of annoying as having stars/quotes slapped on the front. With 45 mins of extras, it's not exactly something to be shouting about anyway...

It's ridiculously redundant to have a 4K banner below a 4K case as well. Fine if they want to ruin O-Rings with them, but leave them of the wraps.

Always good to see something like this coming out in just a regular special edition without the extra silly bits thrown in, or a steelbook packaging, significantly bumping up the price to silly levels.

True. I deleted my post before your reply as your point stands that it's not significantly higher because of it.

I don’t mind if they release expensive tat editions in steelbooks, etc, many people really like them and if they help keep the physical media train chugging along then that’s great, just as long as we get these kinds of releases at the same time then that would be ideal.

Shout clearly wins on cover art, but it could look much worse it could've been designed by WB
