You're right. That's weird. Wikipedia says it's a Miramax title and Miramax means Disney. It also names Lionsgate, but I know the BD release wasn't Lionsgate. Is there a special reason why Sony did the BD release? Or is Wikipedia just flat out wrong?

Dogma is Sony...Weinstein usually handles Askew productions though.

Clerks was down to 20.99 for a while, and Chasing Amy went down to 24.49. A response to the Best Buy sale I think.

Not the best prices ever, but still much better than the prices they have now.

They'll probably drop a little after they've been out a while.

No, if you look up Kill Bill on here, it has the same look.

No, these are the images that we are provided by Disney for our reviews. Disney's images for the cover are typically different from the actual cover for Blu-ray releases.

ROFL. That was my exact first thought too.

I just...can't...bring myself to buy it on Blu-ray when I have it on DVD lol. Especially since Kevin Smith autographed it for me.

Complete your collection. KS has the autographed Blus up on his site for pre-sale. I've got my order in.

Dogma was originally supposed to be distributed by Miramax but Disney (who owned Miramax at the time) did not want to be associated with such a controversial film.

So Harvey Weinstein sold the film to Lionsgate for theatrical distribution. Columbia Pictures eventually purchased the home video rights to the film, Columbia Home Video would become Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Judge Not: In Defense of Dogma was supposed to be included with the two-disc DVD but due to legal issues with The Walt Disney Company, it was held back until its eventual inclusion on Vulgar. The commentaries on the Dogma DVDs are also censored to remove any mention of The Walt Disney Company so as to avoid any legal issues.
