I had a complete ball-ache with B&N trying to order over the weekend. Despite have a B&N account for 15+ years when I tried to order it was immediately cancelled. Whatever method I used, either Paypal or Debit card, the order would not go through despite phoning them three times, speaking to the verification team who placed the order manually over the phone with them, every order the system cancelled.

To get around it, I deleted all my cookies & internet history, used a different browser to the one the orders failed on.
Using a VPN set to the USA, I created a brand new B&N account with the Stackry address & set up the Stackry address on a second PayPal account for payment.

Even then at checkout B&N didn't like the mobile number I'd entered but after doing the suggested edit, the order went through & just placed a second order.

A bit of a faff but the above may help.

Thanks for your advise but nothing works. My card is fine and nothing had been declined by them. I can't set up another PayPal account, when I set it up as US I don't have a US mobile number for the verification code, when I chose UK I can't add my Stackry address because it doesn't accept the US post code. I probably have to order from Amazon which will cost me $14 more ��

Not sure how I did this but I haven't added a default mobile number and have added no payment methods (I check out via paypal). If that's the problem, it does accept accounts without them. I think I had to make sure the Stackry phone number has no gaps between numbers but don't quote me on that. Is two step authentication the problem, as you can disable that?

Yes when I tried to set up a new PayPal account with my Stackry address.

On the Account Settings page, under Update Your Mobile Phone Number it says - "By adding a mobile phone number to your account, you agree to potentially receive SMS messages for account verification (one-time codes)."

The first copy went missing, so amazon sent me a replacement, then a few weeks later the original got delivered. It is balanced out by the damage to The Red Shoes unfortunately.

Not Stackry's fault but after a couple of years of using them with zero issues I've finally had a parcel arrive in the U.K, clear customs, then go nowhere. Neither DHL nor Royal Mail can confirm it's lost, despite it not moving for well over two weeks, and Stackry won't raise a claim until 45 days after the parcel was sent.

I've had a parcel sent after this one which arrived Saturday. That was sent via 'Connect by FedEx' (which I tend to use as it arrives via Royal Mail) and the lost package had to be sent via 'Global Mail Direct' due to size/weight and it came via DHL.

Funnily enough that also is due to be delivered by Royal Mail, but after clearing customs it's seemingly vanished. Bummer.

Sorry to hear that. Normally it can take just a few days after clearing customs to be picked up by Royal Mail and entering their tracking system, I've never seen it take this long but I suppose it isn't an impossibility. Fingers crossed it appears at some point, I've had a few like that recently (not from Stackry), that just turn up. If not, then you should be able to claim a refund I guess, just hope it wasn't anything OOP/hard to replace. Best of luck mate.

Thanks mate. You never know I guess! It was the ltd edt book of 'In Search of Darkness' (the 80s horror documentary series) then Scream Factory 4K's of Robocop 2 and Species 2 and the Fred Olen Ray slasher 'Scalps'. So nothing impossible (the book is limited though and not cheap!) it's just a ballache ain't it? Loads of ringing around and no one wants to help.

Relevant to the thread though: Stackry couldn't be more helpful.

I can get the odd thing sent to a relative and friend in Spain and Italy but it would be good to use a paid for service.

Wel, I've registered. They asked for some form of ID which I ignored so wait and see on that.

Postage via FedEx for upto 1KG from Italy to the UK looks around £20. That's just for a 1 Blu-ray dimension parcel not tested further.

Good reviews elsewhere with the usual they ate my cat horror stories. It's just a €15.00 Blu-ray so we'll see.

Total price: £53.00 inc. Seems a lot but some hard to get things in there (or at least to get people to send them to the UK without eye-watering postage) and still working less than £3.00 per item (there was 10 different packages combined too = $20.00 which added a lot).
