I just finished this series, and while I didn't love it and I'm okay with it ending... they left it unfinished and ended on a cliffhanger.

The show was something I should have loved due to the mystery, but they kept sidelining it. Then the finally get back to a huge mystery cliffhanger and then cancel it. WTF?????????

a set designer spoke on Reddit saying they wrapped in May 2023 and tore everything down and told everyone it was done. yet they filmed S1 and 2 back to back and S2 before S1 even aired. I don't understand it at all. And why leave it on that ending if it was cancelled?

Said it before, saying it again: these cliffhanger series are like books with the last chapters ripped out. Netflix & Amazon are spending billions of dollars on shows that nobody will want to watch in the future because they don't have an ending. Sense8 got a 150 minute movie finale, and I still rewatch it because it's a great, complete story. Absolutely no interest in starting any of the hundreds of series they've abandoned; I wouldn't waste time reading Dune with the final chapters missing, I wouldn't read the first 1,000 pages of IT or The Stand if the final 100 were MIA. You'd think these companies would want to protect their investments a bit better than this.

Netflix had no intentions of making a Sense8 finale, they finally caved because fans made such a huge stink about it. But yeah, especially with streaming you would think they would throw a little extra money for finales so they have complete shows which would pay off more in the long run.
