Great. Too much money though. I'll get it when it's at least half off.

I understand it'd be even harder to package games from multiple publishers together, but I really think they should've done a CvS collection with the Neo Geo Pocket Color games, this, and Capcom's games. SvC is not really a good enough game to stand on its own like this imo.

Capcom vs SNK 2 is way better, but I still love SNK vs Capcom. Definitely the game I play the most on my Neo Geo. Looking forward to it getting a rerelease for Switch with online play.

It's almost a guarantee we'll get a Capcom vs SNK Fighting Collection a couple years after the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection comes out.

Whether that collection ends up including SVC Chaos remains to be seen. Hopefully it does. I'd love for it to include Capcom Fighting Evolution as well.

I agree SvC isn't the best. But I still love the novelty of playing as Street Fighter characters on a Neo Geo. It's something that seemed absolutely impossible as a child. Happy for modern gamers to get a chance to check this one out without breaking the bank.

If nothing else, I'm curious to see where SNK goes from here. They now have ownership with VERY deep pockets (Saudi royalty, I know, but they're filthy rich and son't seem to interfere much in company affairs), hired the former President of Sega, have invested a good deal in beefing up staffing and opening up several new offices, and have expressed ambitions to get SNK back to becoming a household name, as they were in the 80's-90's. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves looks really good. It's not like they have a shortage of existing franchises they could revive - Samurai Shodown, The Last Blade, Metal Slug, World Heroes, King of the Monsters, Baseball Stars, Crossed Swords, any number of shmups, etc.

They released two Metal Slug games this year with another on the way, nothing too exciting though. The f2p gacha game is maybe the closest to the original series, but it looks like the kind of game I’ll regret playing…

They already announced a new Art of Fighting and a Samurai Showdown "action rpg" during EVO.

Wow, I'd completely missed that. Great news on the Samurai Shodown action RPG. I'd always head the Samurai Shodown RPG was solid, though I'd never actually played it due to it being (as far as I know) in Japanese only.

While it does seem pure fighting games aren't the kind of hits they once were, games based on their famous 2D fighters using different genres does make sense.

This trigger warning will apparently be included in the game.

If one of them releases a collector's edition in an AES style shockbox for the Switch, I might get it. Hope LRG releases something like that, but they their KOF13 collector's was ugly and not retro SNK themed. It'll probably only be Pix n' Love with an AES style box, which is a shame considering it'll mean the thing will cost upwards of $100 to ship to the U.S., similar to what I paid for KOF13.

Actually, I'd forgotten LRG recently started selling AES shockboxes, so maybe there's some hope for an AES style collector's of this game.

No price listed yet, but this is Pix n' Love's collector's edition for the game. Looks fairly similar to the KOF13 colelctor's, which was around $80'ish plus shipping.

Ok, so the Pix n' Love collector's is a bit more affordable than I anticipated. Around $72 plus shipping.

Not bad. Glad they at least offered an AES style shockbox. Still, I'm glad I already preordered the Pix n' Love version. Including shipping, each version costs roughly the same, but I do like the Pix n' Love packaging a bit more (it also looks better next to my Pix n' Love FFXIII), they also give you the soundtrack, and the art book looks nice.

Another possibility I'd like to see SNK release - SNK 40th Anniversary Collection follow-up/SNK Classics release.

One of my favorite retro releases on the Switch was the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection, including many of the top SNK games from 1979 through 1990. It was a shame the physical release was fairly limited.

I'd love to see them come out with some sort of collection of their best games from the 90's. They last did something like that back on the PS2/Wii with SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1, which was never followed it up with a Vol. 2. I wouldn't even care all that much if it's mainly just a port of the games, without much enhancement. Any compilation would do.

Digital Eclipse handled the first one. With their recent acquisition I don’t see them doing another. I had no idea the release was limited. Wasnt it sold at retail? I love the VoD style playthrough options on it.

Looks like Amazon has PS4 copies for affordable.

Maybe I'm thinking of the Collector's edition, which I believe I had to buy from NIS. Think standard edition was sold retail in the US, but didn't sell well and the value of it has since jumped quite a bit.
