I was actually past the traffic jam (boy did the gps re-route me through some crazy roads) when I messaged him. He knew I was coming down to get it $$$ and he decides to not be home lol. Told me to come back later. NOPE. Couldn’t let me know before I wasted all that time. Did not apologize or offer to deliver it or at least meet me half way.

There is a Costco down there so at least I got some cheap food. Day wasn’t all lost but what a dick.

I would even put it on his profile to warn other people away.

Thankfully I did not commit to buy. I was waiting for him to send me the revised invoice without shipping but he never sent it. So I cannot leave him feedback.

But yeah…if I had sent the money it would have been a freaking mess and of course I still would have had to go through with it.

I wonder if you had said, "my good man, I have driven a couple hours to meet up with you and purchase your Blu Ray player and we agreed upon a certain time (assuming you did). (If you were a bit late because of traffic) I apologize about being a bit late as I hit some traffic. But I have come a long way and I need to return a long way once we're done so I would like to meet up with you now so I can purchase the Blu Ray player from you.

I wonder if he would have apologized and said you're right and okay can you meet me at my granny's house? She's real old and I had to come over and help her with some errands unexpectedly. Do you like cornbread? My granmama makes the best cornbread. I'll ask her to make us some. You'll love it.

lol Anyway, time for bed as I got work in five hours. I've done a similar schedule before but again, just not a fan of leaving work after a shift and having to be back the same day/night. But it is what it is and I'm gettin paid so I can't complain too much!

My new schedule is going to be 2-10 Tuesday-Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday. Assuming that means the daytime shifts are 8-2 and the overnight shifts are 10-8. Of course every agency does it differently depending on both the needs of the staff and the needs of the individuals being served.

I do love me some cornbread.

He’s just a moron. We never agreed on a time because of the traffic & length of the trip. He confirmed his afternoon availability this morning and knew I was coming. Why he didn’t message me at noon and be like hey

Can you come later? I have no idea.

He just said he wouldn’t be home for hours. Then like 30 mins later he changed his tune and offered to meet up earlier but it was too late. Most people would make the necessary arrangements to accommodate someone traveling a long distance..especially if it involves getting paid!

I'm going to say it's 50/50 he doesn't really want to sell it but it's rude that you get nothing out of it. That's why I wouldn't go unless I had some kind of guarantee the transaction was going to take place.

Meh..it’s still listed but he did express how much he liked it. He paid $6k for it new. Entirely possible. Surprised he never sent me the offer & invoice. That would have locked me in like you said but….i think it’s fate lol.

Just opened up 3 more shelves in one of the bookcases to spread the disc collection out. They were getting pretty cramped. Donated about 100 books and plan on selling about 100 more to make more space.

Just registered for a motorcycle safety course that will take place on Thursday and Friday at the Harley Davidson dealer here in San Jose. It's 3 hours of classroom instruction followed by 5 hours of riding on both days. Cost $425 so I really hope that I pass

Got my license years ago thru a Harley dealer.....it was a good experience. The written test is easy and the riding part is easy too.....they provide the bikes and they are one of the lighter bikes you will find....I think it was a 250cc, but not 100% sure.

I sold my Harley about 10 years ago...haven't missed it until this summer.....but a divorce and the kids getting close to college age might be the reason why......maybe time to start saving?

Got to about 9 miles out of today's planned 20 mile run. Still had a bit of body battery left so it's probably just general running fatigue. We'll see how next weekend's planned 28 miles in Iowa go. Time to finally stop procrastinating and stuff my desktop PC into the bottom of this box and load it into the car!

Watching the Miss USA pageant of the CW Network. Is it jut me, or does this beauty contest not as popular as it use to be? I mean, it's now on the CW, I think it aired on NBC back in the day. Maybe I'm thinking of the Miss America pageant, IDK. My top three would be Arizona, Wisconsin & Oklahoma.

Hmmm, they just did their top 20 finalists, not one gal with blonde hair made it.

No spoilers! Up to 13:05 in SMT5-V, almost double the 6:33 I was at before. Really flying through it now that I made it past that boss I grinded for. Going to read a bit more Quicksilver and then shower before bed. Still betting there's going to be arguing tomorrow about what my dad gets to take in the car. Either it fits or it doesn't, physics isn't magic.
