Very nice! Yea I finally got to see the movie when it came out on 4K Blu-Ray I believe last year and yea it was beautiful classic cel animation. I do own Stand Alone Complex, just need to finally watch the whole series, I've seen bits and pieces of it when it aired on Toonami/Adult Swim.

Betterman is quite a off the wall fever dream of an anime, mech mixed with sci-fi mixed with horror I've never seen anything like it but it's definitely worth a watch if you can find the OOP DVD's for a decent price.

This is a great thread because by you listing your mech anime, I'm starting to add even more series to my already out of control watch list, like Parasite Dolls, that looks like an intresting OVA!
Gun X Sword is basically a western Mech show and it’s very underrated
Fafner of the Blue Sky is also super underrated
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet is also really dang good and should’ve gotten a second season
Magic Knight Rayearth is just a freaking classic Mech magical girl Isekai anime series and it’s so so good I still need to watch season 2
Vision of Escaflowne is amazing

There was a two-part 60-minute OVA sequel titled, Far Beyond the Voyage, released in Japan. The Blu-rays also include English subtitles.

That looks really nice it’s a beautiful looking set I’m currently eyeing that UK Magic Knight Rayearth Blu-Ray set as it’s so so nice I think I’m going to pick it up next week. Plus it’s just a classic Mech magical girl Isekai anime series that’s so so good.

If you liked Voltes V, then Combattler V is very similar.

I am biased on old giant robot anime because I owned several toys growing up (and collecting few now with Soul of Chogokin line - but they increased their price little too much lately for me to keep collecting )

If you like the old style then Dino Mecha Gaiking and Shin Tetsujin 28(1980s) should be good too.
Macross is great but no blu-ray release yet (I still have my DVD set)- Not sure if I can recommend Robotech, since I need to watch unedited with original language.

I can definitely recommend Macross Plus, which is probably my favorite OVA/Movie of Mech based genre. And you really don't have to watch original Macross to enjoy this either.

And other recommendation from others like Gunbuster
