Standard half decent Marvel movie stretched out to an unbearable six hour miniseries.

I'm only watching it because I want to see if it sets up Armor Wars in some way or connects to it in some meaningful way, like having Rhodey show up as War Machine in the last episode to save her butt or whatever.

I’m gonna say zeeeero interest…having said that about Captain America 4 and then seeing the trailer I have recanted and intend to see that, I did not like or purchase Falcon and the Winter Soldier. 50/50 that I may enjoy Cap 4. Iron-heart as a comic sucked but it’s up to the trailer to get me in on episode 1.

I'm glad she doesn't have that crappy armor from Wakanda Forever.

Did I perceive the trailer correctly, in that Riri has to now resort to a life of crime at the beginning of the show?

This is somewhat comic accurate. Most of the material she used to create the first armor was stolen from school.

I have zero interest in this one, the trailer looks generic and after so many crappy mcu series I can't take it any more (Echo for example).

The idea left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, and, on first blush, I didn't like the way it felt to me, but, if you say they are being faithful to the roots of the character, then I will try to be more open-minded to this idea.

In a few ways it makes her different than other characters that are rich, or just happen to stumble on some magical item. The stories kind of side step it, yet there is no way Peter Parker got everything he had to make his webbing legally from the start.

LOL..He was definitely rooting around in the equipment closet where they keep the chemistry & woodshop supplies.

With most characters they are kind of perfect in the beginning until someone decides later to tear them down. Like Stark being an alcoholic. Or Speedy being a junky. Showing flaws in the beginning makes for a different approach as it is the opposite of Stark's journey. I am also happy it seems they are keeping Wakanda out of the story so far.

Well, that trailer did nothing for me.

I hated that character in BP2. Her whole inclusion and influence in that film just soured me overall. I don't really mind her in the comics but BP2 just made me hate her.

I'll watch it if I see something that captures my attention or depending how it reads via this forum.

Im gonna watch it, but she was annoying in Wakanda Forever.

But she fills the slot for an armored character, and seeing them work out their kinks and continuously upgrade always lends itself to some cool beats.

With RDJjr. back in, could he be a hologram 'mentor" for her character, down the line?
Or her "Jarvis"? He and her banter could bring some fireworks.

Marvel Television’s Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood.”
