It is rare to find people who prefer Filmation's Ghostbusters over The Real Ghostbusters though not as rare as finding people who prefer Tigersharks over Thundercats and Silverhawks.

Transformers
He-Man
Alvin and the Chipmunks.

I watched plenty of others but Transformers is the only one I will rewatch.

It was supposed to have one, a feature film. It was plotted, but never made as the show flopped. I'm surprised that IDW or someone didn't do it as a comic adaptation. Same with the an ending for Dungeons and Dragons.

I have the mill Creek dvd set of JATWW, and the first couple of discs aren't encoded properly, so there's severe scan lines across the screen. It's really annoying, and they'll never fix it as it's a budget set.

One good thing came from the end of JATWW - The Real Ghostbusters. It's the same core team that was behind both shows.

For the Japanese side the 80s were an embarrassment of riches. Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is an easy pick for my top choice though, an excellent sequel to the original Gundam that to this day manages to provoke viewers with its very dysfunctional and complicated cast, not to mention the great direction and musical score. You have to give it credit too for having such an emotionally brutal ending!

On the American side, I usually side with the people who consider it to be part of TV animation's dark age, but there were still some strong entries. The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles miniseries is a particular favorite of mine, but even as a kid I felt there was a decline in quality after it. Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures is a little rough around the edges, but it's a clear forefather to later greats like Ren and Stimpy with some brilliant moments.

I prefer The Voltron Vehicle Force over the Lions...but they had too many team members to develop a character culture w/ 15 team members.

Defenders Of The Earth had potential......all the Pulp heroes gathered together.

I dont remember any episodes, but I did follow The Ewoks thinking they would have a decent SW culture. It didn't stick with me. I sat thru it despite it being mediocre.

Rickety Rocket was an interesting take.....What's Happening meets The Jetsons.

The Superfriends/Galactic Guardians w/ Cyborg as the new Justice League member was cool.

Carlton Your Doorman was an adult Rhoda spin-off cartoon.

I will always love the lion force Voltron. Though it would be nice to see the Japanese version of the vehicle force Voltron.

I was really young in the '80s, so I grew up mainly with the original Transformers, He-Man, and Ninja Turtles cartoons.

Anyone remember

Bionic Six

That was my favorite cartoon(forgot if it was after school or Saturday morning cartoon), but I hardly see anyone mention this. (I would buy official release of this in a heartbeat)

And for anime(Didn't realize it was anime at the time)

Dragon Warrior ("Quest" in Japan)

I distinctly remember waking up at 6am on Saturday to watch this. Very start of the Saturday Morning Cartoon viewing. My parents had hard time waking me up for school, but I would wake up earlier than my parents to watch cartoons on Saturday... memories... (And I so want complete collection of this. Broadcast only showed first season. Later I found out that there were whole series that was not translated from Japan. This never had DVD collection or any release that I know of. I want this so bad)

A lot of good ones on that list BluTheTethered.

I have vague memory of the Dragon Quest anime.
