The big thing (thought I mentioned it in last post but guess not) is that she's nearly half my age I'm thinking. I would guess she's 26 to 29 maybe. Not too young for me but she could think of me as like a dinosaur

I did plan to ask her about her vacation. Maybe suggest that she canceled it because she couldn't bear to be away from me for so long
I liked a current coworker recently. I had another female coworker who worked with me agree to go over to her and "without my knowledge, so to speak, hint, hint", drop a little hint to her by saying "I know someone who likes you." Of course, her, being a woman, was very curious and wanted to know who it was. But my coworker agreed with me to act like I had no idea she was telling her on my behalf.....and then she told her that she already had a boyfriend. So....at least I saved myself that humiliation.

Did your friend ever say that it was you? If the girl has a boyfriend and she said as much, no shame in that. If she was lying because she just wasn’t interested, I’d feel but no shame there either really.

Sometimes I don’t say anything and I feel like I should have but this probably isn’t one of those times. There aren’t a lot guys her age on our tour but there is one guy that might be into her and she might into him and he’s definitely cooler than me so

No, but she did say that she thought she knew who it was. I had a coworker of hers confirm the boyfriend, so she did have one. Funny thing is 2 months earlier, I joined a team project to possibly work closer with her but never put the effort to get to know her better and possibly move in. Turns out she was single at that time, so I blew my chance.

Yeah that is tough but the hint drop from someone else is a nice little maneuver to avoid the humiliation factor. So funny story from my middle school days. Our principal was always talking to this new science teacher. I’m not sure how they kept their relationship *secret* but all the students knew. The age gap was also quite large. They actually ended up getting married & when we came back from summer vacation we all had to call her by her new last name. It’s still tough to manage relationships within the workplace. I can only imagine what that teacher would have done had the relationship gone south considering the principal was her boss. Talk about awkward. It’s a slippery slope. This one girl I worked with put in her notice and then texted me that we could finally hook up. It happens but I think for many, they feel insecure about engaging in a workplace romance.

One more story: I was doing rehab with this really pretty country gal a few years younger than me and I really wanted to ask her out BUT I could not handle the rejection considering I would have to return for therapy sessions. I verified she was single. She really opened up to me which I thought was borderline unprofessional, given her profession, but I let it slide along with her love for country music. She used profanity, told me how her job sucked and how she was underpaid/underappreciated and how her boss treated her like crap. One session she extended it to keep the convo going. She said the next person no-showed last week so “f her” -they can wait. She mentioned how she was taking meds for depression and still lived with her parents. How she was tired of being the third wheel with her sister and brother in law but loved being an aunt. We had some really great conversations over 18 weeks. She found my social media which was a huge hint that she was…well, interested.

Another session we were in a private room and she LEGIT began showing me her skin imperfections lol. She rolled up her pant leg, took off her jacket …and then got really close to my face to show me her nose. This girl ..LOL
One day she talked about snowtubing and how she wanted to go. I was thinking “ok…this is another hint” but I let it go. I decided to go for it the next week and brought it up asking if she wanted to go tubing. She responded that she had no snow pants… Yeah..that was a long ride home. It got complicated from there. COVID hit and sessions ended. I did not return.

Months later She actually agreed to meet and brought her dog. It’s was weird but something felt “off” to me and I’m still not sure if it was a date or not. She mentioned a next time but it never happened. Then she adds me on Snapchat..talked on there and turns out she golfs?! I told her many times that I golfed but she never said she did. I felt like she was trolling me. Then she just disappeared and ghosted me. Super weird. So a rejection led to a “park meetup” which led to silly snaps to being ghosted. I checked out after that. These girls…

Civic- I still say just talk the girl up. Ask about her car and the vacation she didn’t go on? Does she know you’re a Hollywood Marine?

And this should move to The Dating Thread!

Would've thought they'd already kissed. Time for a drug test before today's 11:45 interview and another 2-8 shift.

I was married for 20 years (2001-2021) and now have 2 kids.....one, my 15 yr old son, lives with me. Got back into dating only last year....so you can imagine how much has changed since I was last dating. All the new tech with phones and how dating is done was new to me....still getting used to it all.

Funny thing is I had a girlfriend for 6 months earlier this year and things were going good, but she had to move away to take care of her mom after her dad died. However, I met her the old fashion way...at a bar, LOL. Its hard for me get in a relationship, I look a lot younger than I am and with a 15 year old, I am basically living my life as a 37 year old as well and mistaken for that age too.....but I am 57...so women my age are in a different stage of life, and they are looking for things I am not. I have to look for women a good 20 years younger than me and who are in the same life stage, but they usually are not looking to date someone in their 50's.

I totally understand a lot of that. At least the dating part. After my fiancé died, I haven't had any other relationships whatsoever. I tried and it didn't go well. I've decided that I'm done with that. Too many people don't want people my age other than in the bed and as a sugar daddy. I'm not about to be someone's sugar daddy. Relationships are a tad overrated, anyway. I've learned as I've gotten older that you need to get in early and lock in early. Too messy at this age. Plus, people don't want to date damaged goods, and baby, I'm all that and a bag of chips.

sf didn't call me after our date. I hate him!

Scarlett Johansson's stunt rider (Avengers: Age Of Ultron) is a badass

And Joanna got me in that R&B mood

I was waiting for free nights and weekends to begin. You talk forever on the phone so I need those unlimited minutes.

I’m sure everyone’s been experiencing slow loading times on the site.

Just sign up for the MCI Friends and Family plan. You're going to have to cause CivicX can't. He can't get through to New Jersey with MCI.

I bet on that first date CivcX was jumpier than a virgin at a prison rodeo.

That's when you bust out your MDX Type S date mobile. It's made for double dates. And if things don't work out simply stick the girls in the 3rd row seating. It's a win/win.

You always have the best answers.

A pic of the new Marine One. It’s like if a 53D and a Blackhawk had a baby.

Wabo is for sure well versed in the art of all-knowing.... Maybe it's time for Wabo to throw the hat in the ring for 2028 ... Just think of the mandatory happy hours we would have....

And man, that is one chungas Choppa baby.. Marine One looks like a flying tank.
