As soon as I get home (I got a B&N giftcard for my recently birthday), I'll put on order Chronicles of Riddick and Crimson Peak (4k for both naturally). I'm kinda curious about the free tote they mention (even though it will just go to the wife more than likely). Nice timing personally on the sale for once.

I wonder if the tote is in store only. I bought two movies and there was no tote added to the cart, unless they know to include it in the package. Next to the free tote declaration on the B&N site is a link to "Find A Store" so who knows.

The current edition is the one with all the swag. There's no standard 4K at the moment.

I thought about that too, though there is almost no way I'll find 2 I want in store. Every B&N I go into now has maybe 5 or 6 Arrow titles recycled from previous sales thrown onto an endcap type display. However, at the same time I fully expect B&N to do some silly promotion like this where that's the only way to get it.

Be careful with this. Some items might be cheaper on Arrow's site due to their current Arrow Spotlight Flash Sale. For example, I was interested in the Gothic Fantastico set which, at 50% off, is $49.99 on B&N but only $40 on Arrow's site.

Some ok deals, less so once you tack on the postage. The Film Noir Archive sets from Kit Parker are worth $20 each, I think. I had to jump through hoops last year to get them for that price on eBay. Some solid noir titles in those sets and relatively good transfers, especially of the old Columbia B crime titles that probably will never be released any other way. HORRORS OF THE BLACK MUSEUM still a bit too high for me and RAIN too, however the latter is rarely ever lower. THE BAT WHISPERS still too new to be discounted.

Thanks! I just checked out MVD Shop and found they also have a bunch of stuff discounted (up to 50%) from Blue Underground, MVD Rewind, Severin, Synapse, and some others. Usually these MVD sales are limited to one label, and shipping often kills the deals. But with stuff from multiple labels, I can easily hit the $75 free shipping threshold.

Also, the Noir Archives from Kit Parker that Professor Echo mentioned look quite good. I've been eyeing them as an item for a future Target B2G1 sale, but maybe I'll scoop them up here.
