Mine must be special because it's 1080p. Of course it is special, as mentioned before the BBC version is 1080p, and my case from Canada is correctly labelled as 1080p; only the Discovery Channel (US) version was given the 1080i treatment. The 1080i printed on the UK BBC version is a well known typo. Here is the thread that relives all of the hilarity that ensued following the misprint.

Baraka wins for AQ no sweat. Comparing a documentary with an Art movie with a moving score just isn’t fair. Planet Earths AQ is just fine for what it is designed to do.

PQ is another area where I wouldn’t make a comparison. Baraka is a 70mm film and has a beautiful film look. Planet Earth has IMHO an equally beautiful look, albeit very different. PE looks like what it is, a documentary. There are flaws to be found in some of the more difficult to shoot scenes, however, the overall presentation is so fantastic that it is easy for me to forgive these occasional technical anomalies.
