Which label is likely to release this with English subs? I was hoping after Le Chat’s release we’d see an English friendly edition.

Well, Eureka released the DVD back in the day, so maybe them?

My copy of the cover A release was dispatched on Friday from jpc. Looking forward to checking this one out

Was the FR release botched in DV, but the HDR10 layer was ok?

Hoping that the DE release, with its HDR10 only layer, will be well presented, along with the encode job

The only other Camera Obscura release that I own, is their BD release of Fantastic Planet (colour corrected release), which features a pretty respectable encode.

Yes.

Camera Obscura is a great label and they’ve most likely done a great job as always.

Perhaps a label like Deaf Crocodile could license this for the U.S. ?

Thanks. I forgot that Amuck! Was also a CO release as well. I've got that one too.

I got my copy today, and I did a quick check, just to make sure that the external subs were in sync, and this looks goooood

Yes, had a quick spin as well. Very high bitrate, close to 100, and very healthy looking grain structure.
This restoration is gorgeous. Sound was a little weird tough but I believe that's just how it's mastered.
It has Stereo as well as 5.1 and both use Surround in a strange way but that's probably due to it's age.
