This is great news. Now to locate a yellow UPC release.

That's actually really cool that Paramount actually marks they're revised discs with a new UPC label, I don't think any other studio does that.

WB did with the 2001 4K release. The updated one got a red UPC.

Interesting that WB did that. It's surprising to me considering the silent update they did with the Superman 4K in removing the 70MM mix, and there was no way to decern the differences between the first disc and the second on the packaging as far as I'm aware.

Is there any chance of an updated version in the UK?

Unless Disney is aware of this, I don't think they're gonna put out any "fixed" releases anytime soon.

Your best bet would probably be import/buy the US version from Amazon UK, if they have it in stock.

Right, but that wasn't a "fixed disc" as such, just a changed one. Warners also put red dots on other countries' fixed versions of 2001: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post18871841

Select issue type “Other,” format “UHD,” put “Titanic 4K Ultra HD” in the title field, and in the brief description box add “Replacement Disc.”

Make sure to include proof of purchase and a photo of the product number (located under the barcode in the back cover), if they ask you that.
Thanks. I have filled out the form twice now and have not gotten a response. Should I go for a third? lol

Germany Reply from German distributor

As I contacted some EU distributors a month ago, I got reply from German distributor (Leonine; google translated) about replacement program:
Quote:
We apologize for not getting back to you until now.
We can tell you the following:
There is currently no new master’s available. However, you are welcome to contact us again in summer 2025 or ask us.
Funny guys. Sure, will write them a year later. No one else replied unfortunately.

Same. Maybe 3rd time will be the charm for us. I figure if they still fail to respond I’ll order it through Amazon and take my chances that I’ll get the corrected disc. At least we know they’re out now.

It's surprising there seems to be no communication between Paramount and Disney about it. Or maybe Disney decided to ignore it and play dumb.

Same for the Italian distributor I contacted last month.
They just told me that they're unaware of this issue (despite having sent them a link to this thread, other than the digitalbits article), and that they will only replace the disc if it has any playback issues or is damaged.

What a joke, really.

Seeing how Disney "cares" about their Disney+ customers (by raising prices for their streaming services all the time), I guess they just don't give a damn at all.

"Here's your disc/Disney+ sub-par service. If you like it, good. If you don't, f**k off and stop wasting our time!"

Truth is companies have become more greedy than they ever were, and not just in the movie industry, but in other industries as well.

Hope it is!

If another week goes by I'll do it a 4th time.

Still no response lol. I think I'm gonna try to reach out to Paramount support another way, see if that works.
