I'm disappointed that not only the BD set but also now the 4K is still just the broadcast versions. Having watched the show taped off tv multiple times over, I was deliveghted when I watched the Extended Episodes from the US DVDs. At the time I was buying all UK DVD sets as well as the Australian ones (because they were issued in really cool packaging) and I never realised the UK sets consituted the NY skyline. Since then I bought multiple complete show sets, but the BD was a sale item.
Being so happy I immediately ordered the TBBT LE BD set at the time, I jumped at this LE set in 4K because I don't want to regret it, and thanks to the reddit photos I also them ordered the UK set with that lilac artwork with the cartoonish design.
Whether I will actually watch it is another story. I found the Extended Episodes to include top-notch additional jokes and scenes that I cannot see myself ever watching the broadcast versions again. But never say never.
PS: never saw the hinged set, I would have snatched it up.

Definitely recall worthy, IMO. In much the same way readers of a book would be none too thrilled with the pages being out of order.

If they don't then WB are going to get the big middle finger from me as I send it back for a refund. Not paying day one prices for something that hasn't been QC'd properly, even with the HMV discount.

Technically speaking, it's the syndicated versions of the episodes on Blu-Ray and now UHD as some episodes were broadcast in an extended/supersized format. It's especially notable in season ten when they were regularly airing episodes that were 30+ minutes but they're all ~22 minutes now.

But I doubt we'll get the extended bits released in HD. The syndicated edits were done on film, whereas the extended edits were done on tape and would need to be completely redone.

The second Season 3 Disc 1 you mentioned should be Season 3 Disc 3, right? Then it makes kinda sense I guess...

Thanks for spotting this and contacting WB!

Saw the UK set in HMV today. It’s really nice - the lilac metallic colour is exceptionally nice and the box is very sturdy. Will definitely pick it up but will wait for a sale.

Is the content all there on the actual discs?

All the content is there, but you shouldn’t expect to pay £150 for something not to be correct though. That’s my main grumble.

Just got mine today and it's the same not major but really annoying especially for the price we pay to get it, what's the email for Warner Bros. UK?

Noticed that something can't be right there as well (with two times "Season 3, disc 1..." ), but I think your solution ain't one either - because we'd have two Season 3 disc 3 discs then AFAICT. EDIT: Nevermind - I misunderstood you. But would still be cool, if scott87 could correct it, so we know which is which.

Maybe @scott87 can check again?

Other than that, I didn't really get the "Season 4, disc 2 is correct" either, because to logical me that info might translate to all the rest isn't correct.

I think I'll get my UK box tomorrow. As long as all the discs are there and I'll just have to shuffle some, I'll be fine.

EDIT: I take it that it's:

and one has to rearrange these 4 discs?

Prolly. Missed Royal Mail's delivery this morning so mine won't arrive to tomorrow. Thing is, there's just soo much sturff to buy at the moment, that paying full whack for something with such a dumb issue just turns me right off, especially when I'll no doubt be able to bag the same flawed product for £80 around Christmas. Or even less next year, when, ironically, it'll probably be onto the second pressing anyway complete with correctly labelled discs

The sad thing is, this is a bad situation all around. It'll hurt physical media sales at a time when studios are deciding the fate of physical media on a month by month basis. So Warner, will just think, eh, f*ck it, too much hassle for future titles. All because they can't f*cking label discs correctly.... or include OG audio they advertised.... or include correctly pitched audio tracks... etc... etc.

Sorry that was defo a typo on my behalf and should be what you have put in your edit.

I have emailed them on WBCustomerServices@vantiva.com

They have come back to me and asked for proof or purchase and all that jazz. Just waiting for a further response now. Hopefully if more people contact them, they will do something.

Thanks!

re. contacting them: I would contact them once I have my box, but since I live in Germany, I'm sure I won't bother contacting Warner UK. If all the discs are there of course, but that seems to be the case. So I'll just file it under R.E.M.-Lifes-Rich-Pageant- track-list.

So a screw up out the gate by WB that is just moo!

I really think they should give you a stick of gum with the set, because that would be perfection.

I'm confused about what the mistake is. Are the discs mislabeled?

Yes, mislabeled but everything is there., nonetheless, it doesn't make it acceptable.
