The Capelight 4K mediabook looks incredible. I really enjoyed this film a lot more than I thought I would.

Which all leads back to this being intentional. They see pre-order numbers/fulfillment requests. They know how well something is going to sell before it releases, and can extrapolate from there. Putting something out with the thought "Well, if this sells well, we can probably squeeze a few more bucks out of folks with an upgrade in 6 months" was exactly the point I originally made.

If this werent happening constantly you'd have a point. Horror sells, they know this.

I'm glad I'm not as special feature obsessed as I used to be. I'll be sticking with my Capelight mediabook. They did a great job on it. I really hope they'll tackle Cuckoo at some point. I remember reading that Capelight would be tackling Abigail, but there hasn't been any updates. I can't believe that & The First Omen haven't gotten a 4K release anywhere in the world.

Some of those are just social media stuff they used to promote the movie.

Is this the same transfer as the Capelight mediabook?

I think Decal / NEON does their own thing. I don't see any mention of Dolby Vision on the back cover here like there is for the Capelight release,

I thought this was fine. Not something I'm itching to pick up, but I do like a white slip when so many companies are fine just using black.

The movie got good reviews and did well. I had a feeling if I held out there would be a 4K release. Already pre-ordered.

You’re right. Capelight have a past of doing homebrewed HDR grades for SDR masters, although they mostly used HDR10+ for these compared to HDR10 or DV for proper grades. They’ve gone full-on DV a while ago though, so the old logic doesn’t apply any more but chances are still there that they’ve tinkered with the master just like Turbine would.

They don't typically mention what kind of HDR it has on the packaging.

I remember people legit thought Crimes of the Future would be SDR because there was no mention of HDR anywhere on the back. Ended up having DV.

Very interested to see how Neon’s release will handle subtitling (if any) of the Italian language parts vs. the Capelight.

Lots of justify complains about the 4K coming later. How about the movie itself? Any good? Worth a blind buy? I'm not completely sold on this new "IT" girl the media has been pushing hard lately.

I know shes in 3 movies, and I havent heard anything about her in media.

She was in Madam Web and I didnt mind her in that.
I just watched Anyone but You last night and thought it was great
I need to watch my capelight copy of this Asap and check it out.

Sweeny was great in the rom com, so I'm interested in how she does with horror.

You’ll likely watch IMMACULATE and think to yourself during the movie, “Well, she’s fine but I’m not sure she’s worthy of all the hype.”

Then you’ll get to the final scene and you’ll know.

I'm a horror movie junkie and really enjoyed it. Sweeney is, indeed, quite easy on the eyes, but she's a great actress as well. This one takes a tried and true formula and ratchets up the tension until the end when it all explodes. She really gives it her all. Give it a watch!
