Sheesh! I don't mean to sound impatient, but Disney sure are taking their time announcing the home video release of D&W.

What is funny to me is that pretty much everything we know about it (release date, cover art, etc.) has come from other sources, and not Disney! haha



Also, does anyone know where this steelbook artwork even came from? Was that leaked on purpose?

I mean... it has to have been someone on the inside leaking it, right? How else did it end up on the internet?

Hmmm... I'll be honest, I'm torn between which cover to try and get. I'm definitely only getting one, but I'm not sure which one yet.

I kind of want the Deadpool centric one because he is technically the star of the movie and it is a sequel to his previous films. But having Wolverine in the mask for the first time, front and center, is also tempting.

Well, we should be hearing something soon if the digital release date is indeed on October 1st.

Come to think of it, they have not even formally announced the digital release either.

Because the movie is still going strong at the box office, no different than when Paramount took their time announcing top gun mavericks home video release.
DP&W is getting close to overtake IO2 as the number one movie of the year, they are going to rake in as much money as they can in theatres before the start pushing promoting the upcoming physical disc release

Plus D&W needs about 25 more days to surpass Barbie's domestic box office--it's not enough that he beat Jesus, he has to take down the plastic princess too. October 18th should be the day that happens, and every ticket sold between now and then helps, so the fewer alternative mediums audiences have to choose from, the greater the likelihood D&W beats the B.

If it's available, I'm going for the Wolverine-focused one. I like Deadpool's pose on one better, too. If u can't get it, I'll go for the standard UHD.

I'm honestly surprised it's coming out October 22nd. Only MOD releases usually have that short of a window between announcements and release date. I would have expected it in Nov. or Dec. instead.

I believe this film has followed a pretty similar release schedule compared to Disney's Inside Out 2. That one also had a relatively short window between announcement and release. I think it also had the same amount of time between the digital and physical release dates.
