These are not excuses, but realities. If we are dealing with the same issues in mid-season, I don't like our chances. (but, I said that last year after the Raiders loss). ![]() |

Javon Hargrave likely out for the season. The 49ers are ranked 20th or lower in most defensive categories….
Points allowed/game - 23 (21st in NFL) Defensive efficiency - 40.31 (25th) Defensive EPA - -11.89 (24th) Yards/rush allowed - 4.5 (21st) Yards/play - 6.1 (30th) Third down conversion rate - 52.9% (30th) Success rate vs. run - 51.6% (28th) ….we’re only three games into the season, not a good start for Nick Sorensen. |

I’ll admit I had a good laugh at this:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3da7fN25voU Even with him calling the Sam Darnold Vikings contenders, which so far, they definitely look like world beaters. Yeah, I can’t believe I’m saying this, either. FFS, they’ve had the football equivalent of a hot date getting run over while picking her up and haven’t missed a beat, unreal. Surprised he didn’t cover the Commanders with the Contender-Pretender Detector, though. That would’ve been interesting. |

I have seen fans starting to say Bosa has turned it off since his big payday but couldn't disagree more. He is always getting chipped or double teamed but still getting pressure, he's doing his job on the DL, the other guys need to their parts but losing Hargrave is a bit of a wash at the moment. sucks to lose him for the season but no one besides Bosa is doing much of anything up there. of course I hope he comes back but if he doesn't I think a Madden Curse argument could be made here |

I think both points can be valid at the same time.
My father in-law had Parkinson's and it's a terrible disease. I wish there was a cure (even for Favre). What Favre did in cheating the system at the detriment of those that are in need and underserved is despicable. Here's a breakdown of the issues: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...line-explained The fact he's paid back the money for the speaking engagements etc (but I don't think the associated interest) is good. But, it doesn't absolve him of the initial nature of what he was doing and who he was harming. IMO, paying back the money is minimum. I don't wish a disease on Favre, but I also don't think having the disease provides him forgiveness for what he did. |

Given Brett's views on many issues, I can see why some are so eager to cancel him. Has it been proven that he knowingly took welfare funds? I don't know much about the case, but if he indeed knowingly accepted welfare money, then obviously that is despicable. Hopefully that's not the case, but it appears he's already been judged guilty in the mainstream press and on social media.

Agreed, people had reasons for hating the Pats but Mahomes seems like a good guy and Chiefs fans were loyal through decades of mediocre football and get to enjoy having a winner.

This is called Gaslighting:
https://x.com/jonmachota/status/1839451830839095475 Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on the @1053thefan pregame show when asked about their early season struggles: "By any measurement, except the last two ball games, we've got top quality players. And I know we've got arguably one of the best players in the league in our quarterback. ... We got the personnel. We got the talent. And I really believe in our coaching staff." |
