Following our attempt to release "Slaughter of the Vampires" as a free give-away last Halloween I found out it wasn't actually public domain in USA so immediately withdrew it.

I managed to track down an agent who secured a relatively reasonable licensing deal for a 3D conversion release and my plan was just to improve the original version I shared, which wasn't that great, and then put it out. My budget for licensing was based on the levels we were achieving for the growing EYEPOP Kickstarters (which have sadly since subsided).

At the same time I actually sourced a better print so thought I'd go back to the start and convert again from scratch using all the new depth analysis tools using this much better print and it is just sooo much better.

But yes, this was our first... but under current market conditions probably our last... licensed film.

Thank you SO much for going to the time, trouble and expense of licensing this and putting it out. Just amazing. I can only hope your overall sales will turn around and make your efforts more lucrative.

Also, I took the liberty of posting a write-up of your new Plan 9 release over at the Ed Wood Jr. Facebook page along with a link to your website listing. I pointed out that it includes both Blu-ray3D format and anaglyph format, so all you need to view it is a pair of red/blue glasses, no special equipment required.

Just ordered all the new ones except the cartoony Plan 9, might get that at some point. Salivating over Plan 9, Slaughter, Dementia, and your new additions to Enhanced Dimensions — can’t wait!

I see at least one enhanced visual effect with an explosion next to a UFO. I take it from the trailer this will be the open-matte version. Or perhaps this will be matted to allow frame breaks.

I'm new to this label and the 3D titles you have , I found how to order the blu-ray of Slaughter of the Vampires . Is this also in 2D ? Do you need a full 3D set up or can I use those paper 3D glasses ? Can I ditch my darksky DVD finally ?

It includes the digital 3D ("full 3D set up" required) and an anaglyph 3D presentation. So grab your paper glasses and go get it!

FYI there are some fairly affordable "real" anaglyph glasses on eBay and Amazon that are a *lot* more comfortable than the paper ones.

Thank you . Is the PQ nice , Can I sell my dark sky dvd ? I have no experience with this label but appreciate what there doing . Its nice they offer the anaglyph 3D because none of our 2 Oleds are 3D capable . I never really got into the 3D craze , But have quite a few 3D/2D blu-rays in my collection . I know SOTV streams in HD but been hoping for a blu-ray maybe from Film Masters or Powerhouse in the UK . I'll buy this since I like these types of movies and support the company might add a few more to my cart . I just do not know what there PQ is like compared to the real thing like "House on haunted hill" from Shout factory . No one is really doing any reviews of these blu-rays , At least that I can find .

We can't answer that for you. To be clear, the SOTV 3D blu-ray doesn't have a traditional 2D presentation. The anaglyph version is of course a 2D video stream that plays on normal TVs but I sure wouldn't recommend watching any anaglyph movie without the glasses.

SOTV just launched and probably hasn't reached any customers yet, so there definitely aren't any reviews for that title. You can look through the Plan D thread in this sub-forum and find reviews for various Plan D releases.

But why take anyone's word for it, Andrew's posted a full anaglyph trailer right on the site: https://www.aipop-3d.com/slaughter-of-the-vampires-3d

Obviously it's gonna be a little more compressed by Youtube but that should give you an idea what to expect.

Due to the somewhat niche nature of these conversions there hasn't been much interest from the mainstream for reviewing them however you can read/watch reviews here:

There's also extensive discussion of our EYEPOP & PLAN-D Titles here on the forum.

Oh and I did share a few stills from the new SOTV conversion in February which you can see in this blog post: https://www.aipop-3d.com/post/the-go...valentines-day

And there is another blog post which has some user feedback too: https://www.aipop-3d.com/post/one-cl...3d-conversions
