The customer support answered immediately and very friendly that he‘ll check with the team on IOSS and come back to me, and now he replied again with this:

I just checked with the team, and we will be partnering soon with an e-commerce company that deals all imports and shipping are paid at checkout.
Great news! Don’t know what the e-commerce will be, maybe Rarewaves? I answered and recommended Limewood/Lime Light to them, since Kronos looks like it should receive great packaging for shipping

Yeah, hopefully they will provide proper packaging, to ensure everything arrives in one piece (it's too easy for a digipack packaging to be damaged).

Very exciting and Captain Kronos is an excellent film which I'd love to have in my collection. I fear this package will be too expensive for me to justify buying though.

My thoughts exactly. A 5 disc UHD deluxe set. My wallet can't even consider the potential price tag

Man, I will be all over this!

The purchase of Silver Salt Restoration and this announcement shows that (new-new) Hammer Films take their heritage seriously and want to treat it right.

I am wonder, though, whether this will only be available from their own webshop or will eventually find its way to other retailers? This set is probably going to be rather expensive, and I am a bit hesitant to throw the money after it and just take my chances that they will pack it properly. Sadly, in my experience, many labels don't.

Just in case some of you guys don't know there is a new documentary on Sky Arts on Halloween night called "Hammer: Heroes, Legends and Monsters". Should be good fun.

Maybe also worth mentioning here that there is a new revised and updated edition of David Piries book A New Heritage of Horror: The English Gothic Cinema, where a large part of the book is Hammer related

This edition has been revised and updated to include discussion of films and TV dramas that have been newly discovered, restored or released since publication of the previous edition in 2007, as well as addressing newly-emergent screenwriters, directors and genres.

Yes, it was announced a bit over a month ago.

Here is an article about it:

I actually did not know the name before, but it appears they have done work for Arrow, BFI and Studiocanal.

Yup. When a SC 4K was stunning, guess who was normally behind the restoration?

A bit of a random question, but regarding the Studio Canal UK BD releases, there was a replacement program for one of the titles (well, at least I remember only one).

I know it's one of the Dracula titles, but since I'm currently moving, and have most stuff boxed, can anyone please confirm: it was for Dracula: Prince Of Darkness, right?
And if it was, does anyone know if new copies available at shops come with the fixed disc already (I would assume so, after all this time), or was the fixed disc only available by request?

I'm asking because I remember the replacement disc I received being extremely scratched (I received the replacement disc in a paper envelop, which was sent internationally; not the best of ideas ).
Since the SC Hammer titles are frequently below £10, I was thinking of ordering a new copy, so I can have the BD scratch free.

thank you

Yes that was the one, and yeah if buying a new copy it's surely all fixed discs by now.

For what it's worth, I had Prince of Darkness arrive from HMV yesterday along with Scars and there were no sound issues on either POD disc.

Does anyone have a list of all the Hammer titles that Studio Canal released on Blu-Ray in Europe, just to double check things on my end?

I thought I had them all, but it seems I messed up.

When a certain batch of titles was released, instead of buying the individual UK releases I bought a German boxset that has 7 titles, and that caused some confusion on my end.
It seems I never ended up buying To The Devil A Daughter, which was released at that time, but not included in the German boxset.

And it seems, for some reason, I missed The Witches as well...

By the way, when I check Amazon UK, The Witches is showing as unavailable.
Does anyone know if this is a temporary stock issue, or is this title out of print?

thank you
