With some colleagues here in Italy we made some comparison: all tracks of all countries are affected. Discs, streaming, WB or Universal it does not matter, dynamic range results heavily compressed. We listened original track at theater and it was definitively stronger. For not well clear reason, who prepared home video master for all countries applied a dynamic compression at source. As said previously, it's not first time - other cases exist - and will be not the last. It's shameful that on a movie which made of sound level its main feature, the treatment caused a total flattening of the output. FKB |
