I guess you and I have a different definition of the word "tries." The Dark Knight is a superhero film and is more grounded than Cliffhanger. Nolan tried to explained everything to the nth degree. Including why he wears a cape and how it functions and why he chose to represent a bat. Even the batmobile makes practical sense compared to past designs.

Cliffhanger is like John Wick on a mountain with only a wife beater.

Back in the Dolomites at least. Wonder how much location work there will be and if they're reusing locations from the 1993 film. Somehow I fear this one's gonna look helluva lot more fake.

The script probably has not changed that much, even with Stallone the daughter was the lead.

So without Stallone they’re still calling it Cliffhanger? Even though now it only relates to that as someone who climbs lol

The movie is set in the same location as the last. The article did not say what the title of the movie would be.
